We are absolutely thrilled with our Wren kitchen and only have positive things to say. We first went into the Lincoln Wren showroom in June 2021, where I must admit as 60-year-old women, I was like a kid in a sweetshop. The kitchens were fabulous, and I was thinking just with my heart at how lovely they were. When Andrew the salesperson sat down with us, together we designed our new kitchen using the wonderful three D computer (the first draft- he assured us there would be more, although at the time, we were confident the design he did was exactly what we wanted). The design incorporated two walls coming down and another going up, so we knew this was not going to be an easy job. We decided to go with our own fitters for the simple reason they were going to do all the building work too, so it made sense. We had booked the builders to come in March 22, which gave us a bit of time to add to our savings as we did not want to take our finance. As time went on, I dreamed of more units to add to our kitchen, and hence we went back for another consultation and added more. Again, I was thinking with my heart and wanted more of this and more of that. As time went on, I sat down with my provisional pack and my head started to take over and I began to look at exactly how much this was going to cost us. By this time Andrew had left and Jon had taken over. We arranged a consultation with Jon, whereby together we were able to change some of the units and appliances for cheaper (albeit just as good) ones. We kept the Neff ‘hide and slide’ ovens, but changed the hob and extractor fan to CDA, and the integral washing machine, dishwasher and fridge to cheaper models (I had researched these makes, and was happy that they were just as good as the top of the range appliances we had originally gone for). We also changed side panels that were going up against walls, to fixer posts, thereby saving money and we sourced our own handles and wet bar sink. We managed to reduce the cost of the kitchen quite substantially by allowing our heads to rule and not our hearts. Come March 2022, the builders started on the preparation work. Our new kitchen arrived as planned on 4th April. The delivery team unloaded it for us, and on first sight we could not see any damages. As we unpacked, there were a few doors that we damaged and a couple of items missing. I went straight onto the Wren app and arranged for new items to be delivered. There was absolutely no problems or cost to us by Wren and the items were delivered in a matter of days. Between Andrew, Jon and our wonderful team of builders, we have the most amazing kitchen. We are absolutely thrilled with it.

Small kitchen going very wrong. Order 34691697 * Our kitchen consists of chipboard units, two appliances, one sink and one tap, only the latter one was delivered correctly i.e. to the contract. Unwillingly, Wren agreed to replace 1 incorrect colour door, to supply missing (360 degree) door hinges and found a way to get us 1 out 2 appliances (elsewhere). At no point in time over the 3-4 hours calls did Wren apologise for failing to notify us of the shortage of both appliances, or to apologise for incorrectly supplied and/or missing parts. Moreover, on the latest call Wren agreed to supply us the correct/contractual sink "as a gesture of good will" after sending us one that was of incorrect design, colour and fully assembled suggesting it was an ex-display (or rejected somewhere else). Is this the way Wren's staff are trained to care for customers? Are customers expected to feel like Wren making us a favour in this instance? ** At the design stage we provided correct worktop surface measurements, Wren incompetent surveyor reduced the length and the worktop is too short (as he ignored comments about tiles and plaster yet to come off). Asked for the plinth to rectify (instead of a new worktop) but were made to feel like we are incompetent by the "Care" team and told to pay £170 if we want the plinth! A joke I thought, sadly - not. *** No appliances, no upfront honestly of shortages, no information to when to expect short shipments, no warehouse they own to store your order so if short by the delivery date - it's your problem. Asked to confirm the oven is still on the order 5 days ago - no reply. **** Written to the Owner (Mr Healey) and the CEO (Mr Pullan) of Wren.... I do not expect anything back but as an optimist still have a small spark of hope in my heart for a professional after-sales experience. ***** Joiner stopped saying "Wren is the best", the builder told us after our misery they will reconsider buying their next kitchen from Wren.

Five stars not really enough to give Wren due credit! - So long review to do them justice.

Popped into Wren nearly 2 years ago before extension even started. Met John the designer, who advised and without any hard sell at all listened to what we wanted , added his expertise and came up with a design for us. Price fixed (for 2 years nearly!) after a refundable deposit paid.

Fast forward over the following months and as the extension progressed we updated our kitchen design, sometimes popping into Lincoln Wren on the off chance of seeing John who if able to, accommodated us and spent quality time adjusting our plans.

Eventually, after changing the island worktop twice, the tall cupboards 2 or 3 times and resizing due to changes in the actual building works, we were ready to finalise the plans. Once again John spent quality time with us, going through each and every unit to ensure we understood which way the door opened, how big the drawer was etc etc until we were ready to sign off!

John explained that the plans are then sent to a manager to double check he (and we) hadn't missed anything, and 4 weeks later on the due date they kitchen was delivered.

Absolutely torrential rain - and I mean biblical stuff. But the two guys (and our joiner) carried all the pieces in, round the house with no complaints at all. All units numbered to match the plan - provided on an A1 sized wall chart for ease of use. A couple of units had damage but after a phone call were swiftly replaced - whole cupboards, just for a tiny marks!

We used our own joiner (well, the builders) and he was pleased with the sturdiness and ease of fitting each unit - commenting on little design things that made it either easier or better for fitting. Stated good quality, even the back of cupboards were thick material.

10 days or so later Rotherham worktops came out to measure for the quartz tops and granite island top - and then a week or so later returned to fit - WOW . everything fitted perfectly, finishing off the whole design.

I honestly can't rate the whole experience enough - never thought we would own such a high end kitchen at such a reasonable cost. All the drawers are perfect, all the cupboard doors are perfect. The worktops are stunning.

I would mention that I have NOT been paid to write this review at all. How some people have ended up with wrong units etc I can't understand as everything is checked...

Quality is really good. Customer service has been good. Now this is where the concern is…. Our Designer at Lincoln showroom told us we could have everything we wanted (I have email proof of all of this!) I spent months designing our kitchen, I had sleepless nights, really making an effort to make something special that cost a lot of money.

I spent a lot of time asking our designer if certain things could be made to measure, she said yes, don’t worry everything can be as we want ( again -email proof!)

What we are left with is cupboards that arn’t even cupboards, no doors to fit these cupboards that we specifically wanted and were told we could have. I cannot tell you how much we have been hoodwinked. I don’t know how this designer can sleep at night. It’s caused us so much stress. They could never do all the things we wanted. She lied and we have The proof in emails. ‘Don’t worry, to allow for cost I have had to put only what the system will allow me to put on but I assure you -you will get what you want’ this is really dark behaviour. This is supposed to be a family run business, people like this shouldn’t be working here, she needs to be investigated! My mental health has gone downhill because we will never have a finished kitchen. Never. Why allow a designer to do this to us? The options given by the lovely customer service agents are not at all what we were told we could have. This too, is a huge fail on Wrens part. They should make an exception for what we’ve had to go through.

I just can’t believe that they have allowed this to happen. We never thought we’d be people that would be in this situation with Wren. we trusted what she told us and clarified in email. The support agents and XENA worktop fitters were disgusted by her behaviour too.

I couldn’t be more ashamed to have put my family and me in this position.

This lady ( who I didn’t realise until it was too late - has also been named and shamed on Facebook by other people for being a liar!) god I wish I had seen that beforehand. Please Wren help us out and investigate this designer. I will send all...
