Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Lincoln

Busy at the till point so clearly popular, but all staff were working hard, served very quickly once ordered, loved that there are reduced items in the lunch fridge. My table was clean and staff cheery and helpful. Lady, name badge may have said Jessica? Unsure. She got pulled off her break by what appeared to be a complaining customer who asked her to sit down and listen to her thoughts on the wrong ways they were doing their job (overheard something about her views on ‘tables not being cleaned’ bearing in mind customers were helping themselves to tables that had only just been vacated by someone not even out the door yet so no time for staff to clear, let alone clean). Your staff member was amazingly calm and dealt with this lady so professionally, despite her suggestions that I know as a waitress are not always possible during busy times and in this type of fast paced cafe...

Just been in. Not busy at all. Gave my order of 2 drinks to the girl on the till along with a toastie. She faffed a bit then asked again what I wanted. Then again.......finally paid. Then to be told by the man behind the counter that there will be a wait for the food as they've got quite the backlog....there was one person in front of me....whilst waiting for the food I was given my chai latte which was cold so had to ask for it to be warmed up. I got my second one which thankfully was warm enough to pass as a hot drink but covered with that much cinnamon it burned the back of my throat. The toastie was handed over, not cut in half as would normally happen so all in all quite a rubbish service.

You used to be asked what size drinks you wanted and whether or not you wanted cinnamon. Now you get what you're given...

Rude, unprofessional. Used the click and serve order service and I was highly disappointed. The food that was ordered, I only received a third of the correct food of which the rest was incorrect and that of a lower value. This was explained to several members of staff who all spoke with a condescending tone and dodged giving an explanation as to why it was that the food items where swapped out. Being told thats its not there problem and if you have an issue then contact the customer service team as the wouldn't resolve the issue I'm store was definitely not the highlight of the visit. Could have been resolved with a better management system and all employees look like they need a refresher course in...
