Had this apartment been on a lower floor I would happily have given 5 🌟. It was spotlessly clean and had good quality facilities even though we only used the kettle there was an oven, hob, fridge freezer, washer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee machine available. The access to the apartment (no 5) Is not for the faint hearted or those with mobility issues. Particularly the last flight of stairs where you need to negotiate the heavy locked fire door which opens outwards onto the small landing you need to use to access the apartment. You then have to try and keep the door open whilst manoeuvring yourself and any luggage onto steeper, narrower stairs that turn on themselves. Both myself and my friends husband found these tough going to put it mildly. I am awaiting hip surgery, John has no muscle in one leg and has a heart condition. If you are younger and fitter then I would truly recommend this apartment. Fantastic shower, lovely modern decor, fully fitted kitchen etc. Lounge area is very basic but tasteful. Great Location. Cosy. Nice designed but... The place is not accessible - many stairs - no elevator - it becomes an issue with luggage or accessibility issues. There was constant noise from the other appartments (the whole complex is very dense) - including renovations that were taking place in a different appartment on the same floor. There is no microwave! No paper towels! There were ants in the kitchen and bedroom We had to asked for more toilet paper, towels and garbage bags which we got but not the towels - they said that 1 bathing towel per person per stay should be enough... There is a problem with the hot water in the shower since we could not adjust the temperture of the stream - it was or boiling hot of freezing cold - and it would shift from on end to another without...

The flat was very comfortable and modern. The beds were fine, and the bathroom had great pressure (unusual in Central London).

So why the 2 stars? The pans provided for cooking did not work with the induction cook top. In the picture, the pans on the left were not magnetic, and so didn't work. The one pan on the right was magnetic and did work. Making breakfast in a stew pot is quite challenging. When we complained, we were promised new pans within 48 hours. When we checked out three days later, nothing had appeared.
