I feel scammed! Avoid avoid avoid Flowers By Florish! Unprofessional and Misleading
Over the last month they have had 8 reviews, all but one is a negative review! Spread the word to warn all friends, colleagues and family.
I ordered orange flowers, but instead, I received yellow ones. When I called to discuss the issue, the owner James refused to take any responsibility, denied a return, and offered no solution whatsoever. If you have ever had the displeasure of speaking to James I suspect you will understand. He insisted he had personally ordered the flowers and was certain they were correct in colour. When I pressed further, he told me he was travelling for the weekend and that there was "nothing else that could be done today." Instead of addressing the mistake, he advised me to wait for the flowers to bloom because "they would develop in colour" before he would discuss my complaint any further. Note that half of the flowers were in full bloom, and half in bud form.
I agreed to wait until Tuesday but asked what the next step would be if the flowers remained yellow. At that point, he advised the business has no returns policy at all, meaning there was nothing further I could do.
The product description clearly stated "orange" and "bright colors," and the image on the website showed a noticeably different shade from what I received. Before placing my order, I even emailed to confirm about orange flowers. Despite all of this, the business refused to acknowledge the issue.
Legally, consumer rights on fresh flowers depend on whether the item received is significantly different from what was advertised â and in this case, it clearly is.
Beyond the unacceptable handling of my order, the customer service was shockingly bad. James, who I spoke with, was rude, stuck up and dismissive. The attitude was unprofessional, unhelpful, and completely lacking in accountability.
This was meant to be a gift for my mumâs 50th birthday, and it was the only part of her special day that didnât go to plan. Freesias are her favorite flowers, and orange is her favorite colour, but thanks to this business, she didnât receive what I chose for her.
I have attached a photo taken within 30 minutes of delivery. The website description states the flowers are a âbright colorâ - so I ask you, does this look orange to you?
My mum is a florist and when I showed her a photo of the flowers, he said they are nice flowers, but they are not orange!
This was nearly ÂŁ60 completely wasted, and I strongly urge anyone who has had a similar experience to report the business to Trading Standards to stop them from misleading other customers. Take your business elsewhere!
Update 11/02: I called to speak to James again to advise the orange flowers had not turned yellow. He responded with âthey are a variety called (Huston or something) which are a shade of orange, thereâs no grounds for a complaint and that was the end of the matter. He proceeded to shut the phone on me because I could...

I am extremely disappointed in their services. I trusted this company to deliver my valentines day flowers. I followed all of their recommendations, ordering the flowers on the 9th Feb for delivery on the 13th Feb, a day earlier since it was a special occasion.
After the initial order confirmation email, I received no other emails to update me on the status of my order, my order date of the 13th was missed despite an almost ÂŁ7 delivery fee. I know it cannot be blamed on the Royal Mail as it was 24 Tracked Royal Mail so when RM receive the package they update you, it is clear Royal Mail never received the package in the first place. Valentines day has passed, and still no sign of the flowers, no email update regarding dispatch/delivery/status of the order. Not only did I spend my valentines day chasing this company rather than giving flowers to my loved one, but of course they have ignored all calls and emails. I only wish I had seen the reviews beforehand, then I would've realised the poor reputation this company has.
I am very disappointed in their services (or lack of) and cannot comprehend a company that is based solely on selling flowers, to be unable to deliver a simple bouquet with plenty of notice.
UPDATE:
I have since been contacted by James Hunt the MD at Flourish. He provided his apologies for the mishandling of my order. Offered me a full refund and to still deliver the flowers as a gesture of good will. When I receive the money back into my account and the flowers at the doorstep I can rest assured it was a genuine mistake on their behalf. I do still feel there is a lack of ability to get in touch with any customer service if you do experience any issues with your order, I was lucky to get a response after many hours of trying to reach out. I also believe it was only through my persistence in emailing, calling and writing of reviews that my case was taken seriously. Whilst on paper it appears the poor handling of my order will be rectified, I would still approach ordering from this site...

I had the unfortunate experience like many others below, with James owner of Flowers by Flourish.
My flowers arrived a day late, and unfortunately as a result arrived dead and wilted. I emailed James and also made a phone call to the company number, itâs as if knew what I was already going to say and immediately had a defensive attitude & had shockingly irrelevant and quite frankly RUDE answer to my queries. James asked why my partner didnât read âfull terms and conditions before placing an Orderâ. I asked if he would read the full terms and conditions if he was to buy something from Tesco? No you just simply wouldnât because you put your trust in the buyer. To be honest what he should have said was âyou should have looked at my Google reviewsâ and then I would have been saved of having to waste my time with this company in the first place.
He then gaslit me into the call saying my delivery wasnât late and that the flowers were always meant to be delivered on this date. Later on in the call when he decided to ACTUALLY do his job and look into the delivery notes he then realised they were sent to the wrong address and re-delivered to mine which is why they were a day late. No accountability or a shed of an apology / sympathy.
When I asked James to take a look at the photos I sent as evidence he said âNo, I donât need to Iâm a florist I know what a dead hydrangea looks likeâ. How very rude!?!
He refused me a refund and his only solution he came up with was âI can have them re-delivered but itâs Easter now so Iâll send them when Iâm less busyâ. No urgency or priority. Itâs very obvious complaints are a daily occurrence for James hence the nonchalance.
James ended the call by telling me to âget fussedâ and if that doesnât tell you everything you need to be about how cowardly and awful this man is then I donât know.
Shame on you James taking peopleâs hard earned money and blatantly refusing to allow refunds for an awful service &...
