Really enjoyed the whole experience of Los Chamos;
We arrived on the decision ‘let’s go for South American food’ and walked down the backstreets of Latino quarter. Enticed by the outdoor seating and colourful chalk board, we went inside to see what we could find. The colourful boards behind the counter showed what was available, from Arepa’s to Empanadas, Cachapas and Tequeños. We went for a vegetarian areapa which has a gorgeous mix of black bean, avocado, plantain, cheese and pico de gallo mix; and also the pork lunch special which was a soup bowl followed by a plate with rice, plantain, pork and salad leaves. They were all really delicious, full of flavour and well presented too. It was fantastic really.
The family who are running the place are friendly and have a good sense of humour. Ojalá pudiera hablar Español - but no español, just enthusiasm. This felt perfectly fine though as they were very welcoming to us and helped us to work out what we would like.
Overall, I am very glad to have visited and will definitely come back here again. I would definitely recommend anybody wishing for South American food or a local Latino experience to come to this wonderful family restaurant and share...
Read moreI ate a meal with pork which tasted nice, however I have suffered days with a tummy bug. I had a temperature and awful stomach cramps followed by frequent visits to the toilet. I asked for a tea, they didn't serve tea. Fair enough I can understand that as they are South American. I then asked for a coffee, and they didn't have that either which was a surprise and huge disappointment to me. I needed a hot drink and neither of the two main hot drinks were available. I was offered green tea at which I accepted but received a menthol or mint tea instead which I didn't ask for and do not like. As it happens I had nothing hot to drink other than my meal. For this reason I have given a 1 star. I had to rate the restaurant but even 1 star in my opinion is generous. I wouldn't eat there again. I'm just beginning to recover from my tummy bug. I hope they improve their service as I support the growth of South...

From the moment I walked in, I felt truly welcomed the staff here are absolutely wonderful. Warm, friendly, and genuinely excited to share their culture and food, they made the entire experience even more special.
Now let’s talk about the food — specifically, the empanada rellena. Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly crisp and golden, and the filling? Packed with flavor, seasoned just right, and totally satisfying. You can tell it was made fresh, with real care and tradition behind it.
The whole vibe of the restaurant is cozy and authentic, and every dish that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. This isn’t just a place to eat it’s a place to enjoy, connect, and experience a little slice of Venezuela.
Highly recommend this spot! Come hungry, leave happy and definitely don’t skip...
