I had a dreadful experience with Fusion Asian Bridal, and I would not recommend them.
Extremely Late Delivery: I ordered two bridesmaid lehengas in May, expecting them to arrive well in advance of the wedding as discussed (being the last week of July/first week of August). I only received them a week before the wedding. This last-minute delivery was extremely stressful.
Ill-Fitting Outfits: Despite going over the measurements multiple times, the lehengas did not fit properly. Mine was too loose, particularly the top. The skirt was also slightly big.
Zippers Malfunctioned: The zips on my right arm and side didnāt work properly. See point below. Their tailorās amendments were ineffective. On the day of the wedding, the side zip near my stomach ripped open, and my mum had to stitch it at the last minute, adding unnecessary stress on an already hectic day.
Horrible Tailoring: As mentioned above, I had to send back my top to their shop; at this point, the wedding was just four days away. The tailoring was so poorly done that the back of the top kept riding up due to excess material being tucked in. When I pointed this out, the owner shockingly blamed my body shape, claiming it was because Iām more curvy than my sister. I was appalled by her response. Additionally, the skirt was also too big, and while the tailor tried to make it smaller, the inner skirt became visible, adding to the overall mess.
Unprofessional Behaviour: To make matters worse, the owner tried to "prove a point" by aggressively cutting the inside of my top open with scissors and stitching it back right in front of me. Despite her attempts, the top still rode up, clearly due to the terrible tailoring. I was in utter disbelief. She then had the audacity to tell me it didnāt matter because the scarf would hide it! We paid Ā£450 each for these outfits, and the quality and service were not worth it.
Customer Service: The owner was manipulative and gaslighted me throughout the process. She refused to take responsibility for the poor quality and workmanship, making the entire experience a nightmare. I will never order from Fusion Asian Bridal again and strongly advise others to stay away. The stress, frustration, and disappointment they caused was unacceptable.
I should say that we were happy with the material and colour of the outfit, these were important requirements for us but unfortunately the other aspects of this process reduced our overall satisfaction significantly. I saw one outfit on an influencers page and trusted them based on that instead of checking these poor and truthful reviews. The mehndi outfit was such poor material. The main problem was the shirt, why on earth they advised to go with that kapra as professionals I have no idea. They just want more money less work. It was so plain, a very pathetic mehndi outfit. The other dress I ordered, once again as I was ordering online they gave terrible advice and help. Do NOT trust them. They donāt advise based on whatās actually good. Only whatās good for them. They donāt give you the time of day. The dress was such a different colour to what I envisioned and actually how it looked on the chart too. I cried when I first saw it it was poorly made especially the embroidery work. They donāt take it well and donāt care to keep customers happy. Many many snarky remarks were made about me when I came to collect. Very fake complimenting me then also saying these indirected things about me. I wore the dress on the event and the creasing was so bad. Even after steaming it creased so easily and looked bad in pics. The mehndi outfit Iām not even wearing. Firstly, I want to say I am utterly sickened by the service at Fusion in Green St. From the moment our huge order was paid for (Ā£275-300 per dress), the manager, SHABANA became very dismissive and borderline disrespectful to us. The order was delayed MULTIPLE times despite being placed months in advance, with zero remorse or explanation. We received our order 2 DAYS before the wedding after continuous chasing. She had over 3 months to make it. The dresses were made with the WRONG necklines, wrong lengths and awfully placed netting which mishapes the skirt.
Besides the lack of updates/care throughout the process -Ā her dresses are low quality and EXTREMELY overpriced. Shabana lacks professionalism. She VAPES during customer interactions, shouts at her employees and is not pleasant to be around. For a busy shop, I'm confused as to why she only hires ONE dress maker to cover wedding season and still over promises on huge orders. She is money hungry and insensitive to customer experiences. I urge anyone reading this, to AVOID Fusion at all costs.
