Turkuoise - Traditional Turkish Cuisine — Restaurant in London

I’m actually still in shock at the way way we were treated from this restaurant staff ( Short Asian male) who claimed himself as a manager! if I could give it no stars I would. On Sunday 2nd Jan 2022 time 5.30pm to 6pm. I came to dine out with my family 5 of us. for my brother in law’s birthday. I ate a lot in my time and have never encountered such appalling unacceptable behaviour and customer service. He absolutely ruined our birthday celebration.

Since we arrived the staff were not accommodating and welcoming whatsoever. I asked for a sofa sit as we had a guest with disabilities who can’t lean on chair.. then the guy above mentioned he started arguing that all tables are booked he can’t give us any table! And he was asking us to leave the restaurant if we do not listen to him! He claimed himself as a restaurant manager and he was saying it’s his place if we do not like what he is giving us then we have to leave the restaurant (he pointed the door to leave) I can clearly see regarding the table booking he was lying to us by saying it’s booked! I asked him where is the reserve sign in the table? He said it’s his place he can do whatever he likes!

The manager was called and I have never been treated we such disrespect as we were told “you have to leave my restaurant” There was no communication as to if the staff actually booked this and they did not care that we could have possibly missed our dine out due to his unprofessionalism. He continued to shrug his shoulders and continued to repeat “you’ have to leave my Place” it make me very upset but I understand some people comes from the poor family background where his family do not teach them manners and behaviours! His behaviour actually showed me from where he hailed from!!

This staff of this restaurant are something I have never encountered before and never want anyone else to deal with this...

Don’t waste your time or money

Went on a Friday evening with my sister, niece and nephew, place was half empty but still it took them over an hour from us ordering to get our food. They prioritise the take out orders. When the people who’ve come out to them have to wait?

They could be courteous and come and tell their customers if there has been a delay but no, a waiter (if you can even call them that) came to tell us “your food is still cooking” and walked off. Great thanks we thought we had eaten already.

They seated us but we had to ask for menus which restaurant does that? It wasn’t only us we saw people getting their own menus after having waited but no staff were paying attention.

They burned something so the smoke alarm went off, not only did we have to sit through the noise but the smell. No body leaves this place with a smile.

Food was cooked but greasy and tough, so tough, cutting meat and it flew of the plate tough.

Small amount of rice compared to meat. Some people may like that but if you go here and order a platter like we did be prepared to have a small portion WHEN your food arrives.

To be honest we were so disheartened by the wait and staff attentiveness by the time the food came we ate it out of pure hunger.

Drinks : we ordered a jug of mojito, nothing special, they gave us two different types of glasses and plastic straws too short for the glasses.

Turkuoise - traditional TURKISH cuisine but not a Turk in sight. What’s that about. We’ve been to other Turkish restaurants, this is not a Turkish restaurant.

Finally, I managed to get a waiters attention he came over to ask if everything was ok and I replied “no, not really” but he did not question why or what was the issue. He walked away again

It’s astonishing this place...

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY! I WAS ASKED TO LEAVE BY THE WAITER.

I am absolutely applauded by the experience I faced here.

ME AND MY 2 CHILDREN (AGES 1 & 6 Months) WERE ASKED TO LEAVE. ONLY BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER WAS MAKING SOME NOISE WITH THE CUTLERY.

I arrived from here thinking because it’s so close to home and looks very appearing, I came with my wife and 2 children, a few minutes later the waiter came to my table and said he has recieved a complaint from another table that my children are making noise and can I get my kids to stay quite. There was only 7 customer int he shop and approx 20 tables empty and we was on table 7 away from everyone.

I am a local business owner in Ilford & Stratford I own 7 hotels & 3 restaurants and I can’t believe what service I received here. I wouldly highly recommend you do not visit this place if you are going with children.

I called and asked to speak to the owner where Ali answered the phone, Ali was very helpful and even escalated my complaint. Unfortunately the owner was unable to contact me and due to the severity of my complaint it very surprised that I was only offered 1 on the house.

I would be happy happy to meet with the owner / management team of Turkoise as I feel extremely annoyed that going somewhere with 2 kids isn’t easy and being kicked out is highly embossing.

Maybe the waiter didn’t notice me parked out at the front and treated me very poorly thinking i look young with my young family. He looked down on us and I hope this reaches the owner.

Every customer should have a great, memorable experience when visiting any premises, this is my objective in my business and I hope the team can implement this on their staff and have a uniform standard for...
