I was expecting nothing more than an apology and admittance that you precipitate your self when you decided to install the disk. You did it without need, you knew I didn't need it and you didn't expect me to notice that you took money from me. If the disk was bent like you say I wouldn't have been able to cycle there, like I did. Nice try. Unfortunately I made the mistake of not confronting you at that moment. That was my and only mistake. You acted incompetently and abusively by assuming I wouldn't realise it. Not to talk about the "cleaning spray" you used in my rear disk, that only resulted in oil contaminated pads and the front tube had a puncture near the valve.

There are absolutely no feelings of anger or aggressiveness in my words, you are making it so. I have all right to express my feelings when I'm in such discontent after a service that I paid for.

I'm not asking for any refunds or anything, it was never my intention and it still isn't as I'm never returning there. But if you had any honesty left in you, you would have admitted the mistake (it's humane to make mistakes) instead of saying my bike was covered in blood? and make it look like I'm the one who took something from you. This only shows you did with the intention of profiting from it.

As I said before you only lost a sure costumer and now you're starting to embarrass yourself.

I'm sure you know what you're doing. You know your ways around a bike right? You installed a disk in my bike with absolutely no need... (I'm the big bloke was there with a totalled front wheel) the disk that was there, was not bent like you said it was when I realised you swapped it... when you told me that, I was thinking over over about this... then I realised when I was on the road already.... "but i cycled my way here?!?!?!, how could the disk be bent if it wasn't even touching the pads....

Do you really need costumers to constantly remind you to not take their money away? Is this common practice?

I don't think so... and you knew exactly what you were doing.

In the end I can never return there after this embarrassing situation (I really thought you were cool and really used to like the shop. Anyway the parts you sold are of very good quality,) and you lost a sure costumer.

Assuming people know less than you because they act a bit goofy like... is something that saddens me...

Can't recommend this at all. Opening hours aren't great (it's closed in the middle of the week, and Sundays, so the next day repair or service advertised very often won't be next day in reality). I really like to support the small independent shops but this one relies too much on the fact that everyone needs bike workshops at present so can do whatever he wants. After clearly discussing on the phone what I needed to be done they still booked the wrong thing and when I turned up as booked they said this would now take longer. Charged so much money - without really explaining what he had done. Made me book a full service instead of basic as brake service only included in the full apparently. But then made me pay extra on top of it for the brake service. While using the brake kit that I had bought on Amazon myself even though the workshop is listed as Magura dealer but doesn't have those kits. He also struggled with how to use the kit. Usually in other bike workshops when you have a service done they will briefly summarise what they did, which screw needed tightening and what could be replaced soon. None of this here. And I was in a rush when I picked it up because of the opening hours and didn't ask, stupidly. Didn't have the impression that much had been done. The fact that you can bring it back within 4 weeks if something not alright was only mumbled accidentally when I asked about brake pads. That he clearly hadn't looked at. Also the loose gear change. I had more attention given to my bicycle in other small workshops where I only popped in to inflate my tires for free. Luckily there are a few in the area. Try them...

By far the best bike shop around. I came in with an absolutely knackered bike that had loads of problems with it. I explained that I only needed the brakes fixing as I was going to get a new bike pretty soon, but explained the other faults anyway just in case they were a quick fix. I'd previously been to 2 other shops- both of which told me there was no point fixing anything as it would cost at least £150.

The guy was great and straight to the point. The brakes were cheaper than any place around and he also let me know that he'd fix the cables as the brakes wouldn't be enough (he told me the price beforehand as well).

The bike was fixed in just a couple of ours and when I came back, he'd fixed all the other faults that no shop had wanted to fix. He didn't even charge for the cables as he didn't think it was worth fixing them so the final bill came to £30. That was to fix: brakes, pedals, gears (I'd been quoted £100 before for the gears alone) and he lubricated all the bits that needed doing. This is especially good as I'm sure most people would have just fixed the cables anyway for the extra cash.

Quality service, cracking price and really great opening hours. Definitely my go-to bike...
