We ordered 1lb of prawns, snow crab, calamari, cajun fries, sweetcorn, sweet potato and 4 beers (approx 4.45 each) for £108.45 1) The snow crab has long legs and a very small body for £39.95. It was overpriced for the meat that came out of it. It was supposed to be 'our meatiest crab! Large sized' 2 thick legs had half the meat in there, and one claw was missing. When I asked where my claw was, she advised that the crabs were given by weight-Your claw went to someone else. This was not specified in the menu. I left feeling ripped off. 2) You eat out of the boil bag, no plates are available, it's very messy with the sauce, if that bag is pierced with a crab claw, that sauce will bleed right across the table. Avoid wearing your best clothes 3)The tables are tightly packed, some tables were missing cutlery/crab stick, and we were given scissors to cut the crab not a crab claw clamp. 4)The extra hot shabang sauce was very tasty but not hot, the prawns were the best value for money. Sweet corn and sweet potato were ok. My partner enjoyed his prawns and sauce, he had no complaints. 5) Several diners complimented the food, one complained it was too expensive. Another complained over not enough forks, another complained that not enough notice was given that her table was pushed back by 30mins as the other table was still eating. They would benefit from introducing a turnaround time on tables. Staff need retraining on how to deal with irate customers and to ensure tables are adequately equipped.

100% overrated place. Before anything I wanna highlight that their staff is quite friendly (what happens here is definitely not their fault) This is the typical place that gets popular and specially on our days in social media and you don’t even know why. The Boil is nothing special - in fact is quite small portion for the price. My boyfriend ordered Lobster 🦞 that was £30 only for the lobster- whatever additional you would request would add up 3 pounds per item. If you want a big and traditional boil that would not cost less than £50. The place is very small and there is no even enough space in between the tables. No privacy at all - plus sometimes you can get a splash of sauce from the neighbours table - which is not ideal. Also - The whitebait was tasting quite bitter. I would definitely not recommend this place for the price the value. For the food on the photo we paid £60 You can get out there for this price way better meals with real flavours.

Something for people going there for the first time and would like to try the king crab

The menu states king crab and large sized. That’s a joke! The bag had three legs inside! Not even that meaty. I added sweet potato to my bag.. again three pieces of sweet potato!!!

The atmosphere is cozy yes, toilets are clean and there is a hand washing station which both me and my partner appreciated.

The service was good. The man working there was helpful.

The food was tasty and yes I enjoyed it, however i can’t help but feeling robbed, as I paid a ridiculous amount of money for the three legs of king crab. Other restaurants serve the whole thing with around the same price!

This is not to reflect the quality of the food or service, but the management of this restaurant or whoever chooses the prices and the portions. Do you feel that by doing this you will attract customers? Well I’m not coming back. Not because the food wasn’t good but because we paid £179 and we left hungry. I was perfectly happy to spend that much money but get the food. Also in the menu isn’t specified that you serve three legs! It even says large portion!!! I found that very misleading.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any photo of the crab to support what I wrote. I’m not lying though. I’m sure people there have seen the portion and would know what I’m referring to.

Hopefully the management will review this situation and fix this so that the customer gets...

The reason i booked here its because we would like to try and experience, we haven’t been to a sea foods restaurant so we were so excited to come here. But it was the other way round what we were expecting. The guy who served us name Carlos apparently was the manager, no hi or hello or ask if we been there before. When the foods arrived it was tottaly different from whats on the website, it was more apitizing on the website unlike on the actual. We ordered different kinds of foods but the taste was all the same, to be honest it was bland. The sauce was tasteless, it was to pricey for that quantity and quality of the foods. Service was below the standard. I paid £400 but it wasn’t even worth the price. I don’t mind paying but for that price ? Never again, first and last . We will never come back again ever . I regret of going there, . Lack of customer service, lack of information,, Carlos doesn’t know how to be a manager , he dorsn’t know how to treat the guest, how to deal a guest..he needs to learn a lot of things. Otherwise guess will come one time and will never come back again . It was one of the worst restaurant I’d been . Definitely wont comeback or...
