Costa — Restaurant in London

I would like to share my very negative experience with the service at Costa on Harrow on the Hill. Recently, I witnessed unacceptable behavior from cashier Marta and a barista, who, being Polish, showed extreme lack of empathy and respect towards another human being.

The situation occurred when a homeless man approached the establishment to ask about job opportunities. Instead of showing him even a bit of understanding, the women started to insult him in Polish, using vulgar language. What happened was not only inappropriate but also shocking. I cannot understand how one can treat another person in such a way, regardless of their circumstances.

I believe that as employees in the food service industry, they should set an example for others and demonstrate more empathy, especially towards those in difficult situations. I hope that the management of Costa will pay attention to what is happening in their establishment so that such situations do not occur in the future. Just left this store livid (Harrow on the hill). Got to the store and the lady was serving a customer. Another colleague just seated behind her. I acknowledged the fact that there was a customer ahead. After serving the customer the lady at the till was busy chatting away not in english but in their own language all this time not yet acknowledge me. At this point I challeged her. Could I please have a coffee? She then says hello sir in sarcastic tone and proceeds to tell me she could not leave a customer standing there. You have been talking to this customer for almost 3-5 minutes and shes got her coffee in her hand . I just left the Panini I was about to buy and the coffee I was on the verge of ordering there and walked away. I am now at a franchise store in North Harrow and having a better service. Yesterday, 14/09/2023, I asked for 2 salted caramel with milk and coffee, one of the sellers always puts too much milk or too much ice. In the end, I fall down to take the 2 frappes, it tasted very weak, the test in the other car was still left for a medium glass that was thrown in the trash.
