A review for the location in Bethnal Green. I have been following this page for years, I was so excited to come here for a BIRTHDAY meal and let me tell you, boy was I disappointed. They ask if itās for a special occasion which we put down and was a waste of time because they donāt do nothing for the special occasion anyway, not a song, not a cake and nothing extra. This was back on June 10th. We booked a table and had to stand at the door like weāre kids waiting to walk into a classroom and had to wait for other people to leave & for them to clean for about 15 minutes, so they were late for our booking. They were not very friendly and also explained to us how to do the deposit refund (strange) 10 minutes before we sat down so by the time we ordered we had forgotten, there was another room that all the waiters kept sitting in to socialise and go on their phones for ages so we had to wait a further 10 minutes for someone to help us order. After they bring the food they all just disappear again into the other room, not to be seen again.. even when people are leaving, they just sit in there. They only come out to sit the customers down or if they are needed by a customer. The location first of all was awful and quite a shock, Iām surprised no one else is talking about it. It was a small room that needed decorating, bare walls and the flooring wasnāt done. It was literally just plain room with no decorations & plain brown tables and chairs with a bar on the side. It wasnāt a relaxing experience at all, the music was so loud and we had a man (wearing the tightest shorts) walking around with a fan to his face because it was so small and hot in there. Alongside this, there was stupid chairs that rock back and fourth and not even a table cloth (like they display on their website) on the tables for decoration or to stop our hands touching the sticky tables. Again, this was a birthday meal and it was a disappointing venue to say the least The food looks NOTHING like their instagram posts, the food was awful 3/10. The food was being brought from an outside venue which was weird, Iām guessing the cooks were across the road and had to be brought up to this nasty venue and up some stairs to us. People who had ordered after us had their food before us, we waited about an hour but yet had a 1.5 hour slot + they were late. Also the placement of the restaurant is strange, you wouldnāt think to have a diner there.. itās like hidden with the smallest sign. Kinda looks illegal lol. They got everything wrong and forgot our mac and cheese. We also had to pay for our prawns to be deveinedā¦??? Why would we have to do that? Isnāt that basic rules to take out the digestive track of a prawn in any restaurant? They never did it anyway, so we paid for nothing Ā£5 at that. Some of the prawns were also mushy like mash potato which indicates they arenāt very fresh and quite old. This isnāt a good restaurant if you only carry cash. We didnāt get a bill at the end like a normal diner, we had to pay for the food online & every single drink or extra that we wanted had to be paid for with a machine stuck in front of our face each time. Charging for full price drinks that was poured from cans into a cup half the size of a can, this was for the sprite or lemonade we ordered but not for the diet cokes to be fair. They didnāt even have takeaway boxes, we had to ask for this 4 times before someone came, so we had to carry it in a container with no lid. Since there was crab left over I asked if we could take the silly little plastic crab cutter, they said no as we reuse them, after all the money we spent they couldnāt offer a 50p crab cutter for the birthday girl lol They must only make the food for nice for celebs or influencers because I canāt see HOW this restaurant was featured in the Forbes. It was the most underwhelming experience I think Iāve had in my 23 years of life. Today April 17, 2024 around 1930Hrs I have placed an order via Uber Eats for an ala carte of King Prawns and Mussels. I have ordered this previously Feb of this year, and I loved the product. Today my order was a mess, both shrimp and mussels are in one plastic and the plastic was just rolled not even nicely and neatly sealed and was placed in one container. Last February 11, 2024 when I ordered it was separate container, nicely and neatly sealed and with sauce. I have called the restaurant and was able to speak to the lady staff, which was very argumentative, and not wanting to listen to my concern, I was trying to let her know that I just reordered the same order I had before and it came with a sauce and today it didnāt. The lady staff made it to point that it was my mistake and she wont be able to help me, so I asked for somebody that can, she said she will speak to her manager and said she will call me back then hung up immediately. Approx 15 mins passed no call back yet therefore I called them back myself, again the lady sounds rude and there was a male manager on the other line, they both have the same attitude, unprofessional, rude and not listening to my concern. It was a very lengthy conversation and many times I got interrupted whilst I was talking and many times I was still talking and the manager was also talking simultaneously. I didnāt appreciate the way they handle my little concern, and I just gave up because both of them were not down for a resolution. I have apologised to both of them because I donāt want them to think that Iāam a badly behave customer, in fact I told them this restaurant is the only seafood restaurant I always order when I like to eat seafood. Itās getting late and I understand theyāre closing at 21:00hrs which I told them both so as well. I was told before the end of the call they will just send me the classic sauce, which I was happy about, and to my great dismay and total disappointment, I waited more than 3 hours and until as of this writing I still havenāt received the sauce which was just one of my simple concern. Just the seafood sauce. I might just be one of your many customers, and perhaps my feedback wonāt matter however, it breaks my heart that I was treated grossly and inappropriate. I work in an industry that deals with saving lives, and I have always high respect to everyone around me and their families. I have never imagined I will be treated this way with the restaurant I really love.
Will not recommend to my families and friends, and to everyone that will order online. If something went wrong to your orders. You will not be assisted and will never be sorted out. Not worthiet.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this restaurant with a friend. We had enjoyed food from Hot n Juicy Shrimp LDN in the past so weāre excited to try out their flagship store. When we arrived we joined a queue of people who had also booked tables at the same time as us. Apparently there were no tables available despite booking ahead. Nonetheless we queued and waited patiently until we were seated. We were not given any cutlery, bibs, tissues and had to ask for these individually. The waitresses tried their best but we could tell they were over worked.
One of our starters was completely missed despite it being clearly written on the bill and we didnāt receive this until we asked for it when our mains arrived. We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese which again was only delivered when we told them it had not arrived - again despite being written on the receipt. We asked for 2 waters which didnāt arrive. We asked again and received 1 water and had to wait at least 10 minutes for another bottle to slowly arrive. They had run out of big bottles of water apparently.
Despite the poor experience we gave them the benefit of the doubt given they are a new restaurant however the real issues started when we asked to speak to the manager as we wanted to take food home but they had run out of the takeaway containers and gave us plastic bags to go home with instead. We asked a waitress if we could speak to the manager. We noticed she was taking pictures with guests and we were less important so we patiently waited although we had to ask again as there was no urgency in the manager. The managers customer service skills were appalling. She patronised us and didnāt take our concerns seriously. She smiled as we spoke about our issues and rolled her eyes. She said āI donāt know what you want me to do, do you want me to frown when Iām talking to youā we said we would like you to respond accordingly to our complaint with concern. It was clear she wasnāt listening and did not care about anything we had to say and just said ā you said you didnāt get a water, you said you didnāt get the takeaway containerā¦ā instead of taking the complaint as a whole. She then said āwhat do you want me to do-give you money off your meal etcā this felt very defensive and we asked her as the manager what she wanted to do and of course that was nothing. She then packed our food in silence - very awkward and a horrible experience to be treated as though we had done something wrong.
Essentially the restaurant tries to pack in as many people as they can and the service suffers. The manager needs to care about the complaints and feedback of customers and address them professionally as you would expect a manager to do. We will not...
