I want to review this place as I normally do all my reviews with 100% honesty. I was invited by a Cuban friend to see this place and enjoy some Cuban Latin gig. I was truly surprised by the quality of the artist and music and enjoyed the relaxed ambiance with my friends.
However, everything got terribly spoiled thanks to the incredibly rude barman serving drinks at the bar. I ordered the first drink (a rum and coke) with a nice bar lady who asked me if I wanted dark or white, to which I replied dark.
For the second round, I had to deal with this incredibly unpleasant man who served me a white rum without asking me. When I corrected him, he refused to apologise and bullied me into paying for a drink that I did not order.
I asked to speak to the manager who, to my surprise, was even worse and supported this unethical behavior and made me pay for a drink that I did not order. They both said I should have been clear in such a sarcastic and rude way that I felt truly humiliated in front of my friends and they show no remorse and kept berating me.
I paid to avoid a scene, and as I want everyone to avoid attending this venue.
People like this don’t deserve to deal with customers. It is a shame that such a nice night of music gets spoiled by unprofessional bar staff. Appalling! Never again. There are millions of other places in London. Not worth paying to be humiliated by angry, rude,...
Read moreI purchased tickets online for the Callao Calypso event via the link provided on your website. This link redirected me to Eventbrite, where I completed the payment.
It has now been several days, and I have still not received the tickets. When I checked Eventbrite reviews online, I was very concerned to find numerous 1-star reviews from people claiming they were scammed.
Eventbrite has advised me to contact Jamboree, while Jamboree has told me to contact Eventbrite, leaving me with no resolution.
What’s worse is that I recommended this event to nine friends!.
Could you please urgently clarify what is happening?

Read moreI honestly don’t think this is the same venue people are raving about in the reviews — it doesn’t deserve five stars by any means. We went there with high hopes, but it was a total disappointment. If no one is going to welcome guests, what’s the point of having a host station at the entrance? We walked in — no one at the door. All the tables were taken, yet there was absolutely no music. The place felt more like a dull jazz club for seniors, with everyone sitting around lifelessly. We headed to the bar to try and at least speak to someone and get a couple of pints to sit outside. The female bartender didn’t even look at us, didn’t say hello, didn’t acknowledge us at all — she just kept talking to someone else while we stood there.
Apparently, basic courtesy isn’t part of the hiring criteria at Jamboree. And honestly, if you can’t embody the warmth of the Mediterranean in your attitude, what’s the point of having Mediterranean dishes...
