Seen this cafe advertised online when looking for a place to eat for breakfast/lunch near Kings Cross/St Pancras station. It was a quick walk from the station and easily spottable. The cafe is accommodating to all from big groups, couples and lone diners. We were immediately greeted, sat at a nice table, given menus and although the cafe is small, we still had space for our big bags beside us. The table is set nicely and has everything you need from your salt, pepper, sugar and sauces. The menu has great options for classic bfast/lunch, Mediterranean meals and plenty of choice for veggies/vegans. Our waitress, Rose, was incredible! Such a sweet lady who was attentive, kind and very efficient as we watched her quickly take orders and deliver food to tables with a smile on her face, cannot fault her, the service was fantastic. The food had great presentation and tasted exactly how you would dream! We got a Mediterranean breakfast and an English fry up alongside cups of tea. Portion size was perfect, we were full! All ingredients are clearly fresh and everything is seasoned perfectly. We went to harrods for breakfast the day before and it was extremely disappointing from the food and the service, whereas this cafe could give harrods a run for their money, don't even bother going elsewhere! Such a fantastic gem right in the middle of London! Disappointing that I can't come here as a regular but if I'm down again will...
Read moreWe were looking forward to breakfast at Cappadocia's after a long journey in to London. We got there and there was plenty of seating, we sat outside but no one came to take our order so I went inside not aware it was table service, to then be told "oh we come take your order," in a way that felt I should have known that. I wanted to order the French toast but that was not available so I ordered the Nutella pancakes and my partner ordered the Americana special pancakes. We both agree the pancakes tasted delicious but were disappointed by the teeniest tiniest little pot of maple syrup that came with the Americana, this was really disappointing considering the price! Please be more generous with your maple syrup offering! My Nutella was spread on each pancake one stacked on top of the other - it turned a strange consistency and made the pancakes really dry! The Nutella on the top pancake was a good consistency though and was really lovely with the hazelnuts and fruit on top. Personally I feel it was too expensive and the condiments should be more generous otherwise the deliciousness of the pancakes are outweighed by how dry they are with not enough of the toppings...
Read moreThe food was decent. I am rating it 2 stars as I did not enjoy my visit here with the slow service and food imo was slightly pricey for its quality and quantity.
I came on a Sunday which was relatively busy while I understand that, we came in together with the person in front of us and they have finished their breakfast before the waitress even took our order. That was how slow it was for us, it appear to be in chaos or understaffed.
And as there are still many covid cases at this point, many cafes were doing their best to space out the seats or put panels in between tables. Not this cafe, it was packed and table were very close to one another, when we ask if we could take a corner table, the waitress said sorry, that was her last table for 4 pax (and we were only 2 pax). Later the seat was taken by a 2 pax anyway.
The food was okay for me but I was already upset with the long wait to be served, was about to leave actually. Also, they do not allow payment by cards... only cash. Beats me. We came here as the google review says 4.5 but I can only say my experience didn't...
