I am beyond words, yesterday was a completely transcendental experience.
I have been struggling with masking a huge range of emotions through some pretty challenging life events over the last six months in particular.
I'm a self diagnosed people pleaser and I've always struggled with 'well how do I feel about this', often forgiving those who've hurt me quickly so they don't feel unnecessarily bad before I've permitted myself to deal with the situation at hand, multiply this simplified attitude to all aspects of my life both professional and personal and it felt like last night opened a door I've kept locked for such a long time.
In the car on the way to the session, I had had a difficult day and I was full of anger, negative feelings and a very short fuse, I left feeling weightless and open to my own feelings, I said to my friend on the way home that I felt like I'd exposed the most beautiful version of my soul in the quiet warmth of that room.

When lockdown was announced, Levitate was very kindly offering free online meditation classes for NHS employees as a way to de-stress and bring mindfulness to employees who could greatly benefit from participating. I partook in a compassion meditation from the comfort of my own home which was lead by Ryan. I was a bit unsure of how an online class was going to work rather than in studio, however I instantly felt comfortable and welcomed by Ryan. I left the session feeling exceptionally relaxed yet at the same time my mind was buzzing and craving to dive deeper into a meditation practice. I have continued with a meditation practice over the last 12 weeks and truly believe this is how I have managed to continue to fulfil my role in the NHS during the pandemic. Read moreThere weren't too many positives in 2020 for many of us but I am very glad I joined Levitate and Ryan's classes. This isn't something I would have thought to do but a friend of mine recommended meditation, several times, I wish it hadn't taken me so long! I tried an app which was a good starting point but since joining Levitate and Ryan creating the on demand classes (great for busy people), I have noticed a big difference, particularly when I maintain a regular practice.If like me, you initially think this isn't for you, I would really urge you to give it a try, it has helped me immensely and i have found Ryan's approach a lot more enjoyable and rewarding...
