The only good thing about this cafe is that they sell fruits and veggies, and it looks cute from the outside. The inside details however, like customer service and pricing, leaves much to be desired! My husband and I were staying in the area for 10 days during our honeymoon and kept walking past on the way to the train station, so thought we'd pop in on our fourth day. The lady that was in line before us was clearly a regular, as she was chatting with the two cashiers while everyone was all smiles and being friendly. When we walked up however, we did not get a smile, a thank you, or so much as a 'have a nice day'. They were talking about themselves in third person as if 'The Broca' was some pretentious establishment that we should be honoured to spend our money at. We did not feel as if they cared whether we bought their coffee or not, and treated us like dirt that walked in from outside. I could have brushed that experience off had the prices not been outrageous, but I was shocked at the size when I got my 'Regular' sized Chai latte. I would compare it to getting a shot glass full of watery Chai. I thought it had to be my my husbands Americano it was so small! And the taste, well it tasted like they had steeped it for 10 seconds and added a bit of cinnamon on top. Being from Canada, the U.K is very expensive, but we got better tasting, bigger sized, cheaper coffee and teas at many other places; especially when you consider their Chai latte was £3.80 ($6.84 CAD)!! This was our first and very last experience with 'The Broca' and I would never recommend a place that treats it's customers as beneath...
Read moreLovely stop off at The Broca, close to Brockley station this morning. Staff were welcoming and friendly on an overcast Wednesay mid-morning, promptly greeting me, taking and producing my order (oat iced latte) and engaging in pleasant chit-chat with patrons who seemed that way minded.
Noting that they didn't charge more for alternative milks helped me to enjoy my caffeinated oaty concoction at my leisure on one of the many outdoor tables available in this pleasant spot within a moments reach of Brockley station (Windrush line & National rail).
It was also evident that the café had a strong (and quite witty) community behind it, as evidenced by the eclectic interior including satirical vests bearing the Broca name (pictured).
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Broca this morning. The only thing which could have been improved would be if I had a higher quality phone with which to produce my Google local guides content (pixel 9pro or 9a ideally) or even a coffee cup or travel bag to signpost my intentions more clearly on my guiding travails.

Review: I had the pleasure of visiting Broca Cafe in London, situated conveniently near the Brockley underground station at 4 Coulgate St. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the authenticity of the decorations, which provided a unique and charming atmosphere.
The staff are a standout feature at this cafe - they were kind, cheerful, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Their exemplary service truly enhanced our experience.
I tried the Falafel Sandwich, which I have to say was simply phenomenal. The falafel was flavorful and well-cooked, and the rest of the ingredients melded together perfectly, making for a satisfying meal.
What also impressed me was the outside seating area. The tables offer a great way to connect with London's vibrant neighbourhood, making for an enjoyable al fresco dining experience.
Overall, Broca Cafe is a warm, inviting spot that manages to combine excellent food, service, and ambience. A definite must-visit when...
