The DLR station is tucked away conveniently behind the main road. Access to the westbound DLR platform has recently been improved with the addition of escalators and there is now three ways to reach and leave it (by escalator, by stairs, or by lift). On the eastbound DLR platform, there only two ways available (by stairs or by lift) and there is a partially convenient step-free interchange to the National Rail platform for those travelling to Fenchurch Street. However, it is not convenient for those travelling to east London or Essex, as you have to go back downstairs. The eastern end of the DLR station features large glass walls offering a view of the northern portal of the Rotherhithe Tunnel. In terms of accessibility, there are two lifts per platform, but those on the eastern end are better than those on the western end, which are narrower. Unfortunately, all lifts for the DLR have only one doorway for entry and exit, and the doorways are narrow, which may pose difficulties for wheelchair users and passengers with buggies. On a positive note, the floor of all DLR trains is the same height as both...

The staff are kind and will help you on your journey, from making tickets to getting you there faster. With the somewhat recent upgrades on Platform 4, it makes the entrance look a lot better, adding on to the station looks. However, one thing which could be improved is the lack of working lifts. Platforms 3 and 4' ls lifts often break down, and are slow. A new version of the lifts would make life easier for those who require step-free access. On the other hand, an amazing...
Read moreVisited Limehouse c2c last week as decided to go to Dagenham dock to the Merrilands retail park there to shop at Aldi, train was very cool with the air con on, train was reasonable clean, and not crowded, had a lovely ride to Dagenham dock within around 15 minutes. Didn’t see any staff but I assume they were there somewhere. Got my shopping from Aldi and came back. Such a pleasant step free train ride to get my Aldi shop. So c2c isn’t just for long journeys it’s also for the short ones. Coming back was easy as step free access from Dagenham Dock was a breeze. So thank you c2c and Limehouse station for a very easy step free access train journey to...
