If you are thinking about investing to buy a property here or living here, this review may save you lots of money. Before you actually get the experience here, what you see would be the beautiful show room, wonderful gym and facilities and convenient location that kind of info that's transparent to every one. What you may not know is that the built quality in these properties is shocking, Despite within the two-year warranty period, we are expecting the bathroom to be repaired the 4th time (and not guaranteed to be fixed), and the MVHR was not installed to be compatible with the air cons so again multiple engineer visits to have it fixed. The communal lift has been on the repair-mode most of the time, so is the entrance gate. Hot water supply has been cut off (by the main facility so it affects lots of properties if not all) a couple of times a year. In addition, St George's customer care is very bureaucratic, the way they sort out the repair is extremely time wasting - they would send multiple here to your home (some are not even builders, just office staff) to have a LOOK at your issue so that they can write a report, and it turns out that the real builders who attend to fix the problems in the end do not really read the reports that the others took MONTHS to write. Read moreReconsider before renting or buying. Really poor experience living here. Huge issues with utility bills. The whole development have been affected by 250-3000% increases in their heating + water bills (even if they don’t use them), this is causing people to have to fork out between £200-£1500+ per month just for these bills. This doesn’t include electricity, water, council tax, or apartment service charge. The building management as well as the utility company (Switch2 - Avoid at all costs) have refused to acknowledge these issues and instead continue to pass the baton back and forth to each other.
When renting in the building be sure to account for an extra 25-50% on top of your monthly rent (just for one of your many utility bills).
The gym is also always overpacked, and there are still a number of other buildings to be added, so this will only get worse.
The conceirge refuse to accept packages because they are “overrun”, but again this is supposed to be included in the service charge. They have also refused to hold keys as they have gotten too busy. This will only get worse with more buildings.
The pool isn’t constantly closed due to...
