I had the pleasure of staying at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid for an extended period of one month and four days (Sept-October 2023). From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the staff at Tower Suites prioritized guest satisfaction going above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience throughout our stay.
Initially, we had booked an Airbnb for our accommodation after the first few days we were here. However, upon realizing that it did not meet our standards, we made the decision to return to Tower Suites. The front office team leader, Vi, not only welcomed us back but also personally ensured that our entire month-long stay felt like a true home away from home.
One aspect of our stay that required special attention was our bedding preference. We had requested two single beds instead of a king-sized bed and a rollaway mattress. The front duty manager, Mr. Trevor, and the housekeeping team member, Mr. Jishnu, tirelessly searched the entire hotel to fulfill our request. Their dedication and commitment to guest satisfaction were truly commendable.
The culinary experience at Tower Suites was nothing short of exceptional. Mr. Boris, in charge of breakfast, consistently delivered a perfect start to our day. We also had the pleasure of dining at the hotel's restaurant, where Mr. Mohammad, the supervisor, ensured that every dish catered to our taste buds. The quality of the food and the impeccable service left a lasting impression on us.
Throughout our stay, the concierges, Mr. Yasen, Diogo, Alex were warm, kind and always available to assist us. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile enhanced our overall experience at Tower Suites.
Furthermore, I had the privilege of witnessing a remarkable event during my stayâthe Guinness World Record for padel tennis, set by none other than Mr. Tony Matharu himself. This extraordinary event added an exciting and memorable touch to my time at Tower Suites.
While our overall experience at the hotel was positive, there was one aspect that left us perplexed and raised some concerns. We were instructed to vacate our rooms if we wanted them to be cleaned, citing it as a hotel policy. However, the reasoning behind this policy was not adequately explained, and it left us questioning its legitimacy.
Fortunately, we did not encounter any incidents of theft or misplaced belongings during our stay, which was a relief. Nevertheless, the requirement to leave our rooms during the cleaning process seemed questionable and lacking transparency. It would have been helpful to receive clearer information or alternative options for accommodating the cleaning while ensuring the security of our personal belongings.
In conclusion, my stay at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid was truly remarkable. The attentive and dedicated staff, led by Vi, Trevor, Boris, Mohammad, Yasen, Alex Diogo and Raj created an atmosphere that surpassed all expectations. The exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and memorable experiences made Tower Suites a top-notch choice for anyone seeking a professional and luxurious stay. I highly recommend Tower Suites for an unparalleled hospitality experience.
Thank you...
Read moreIn our room the last night packing prior to checkout, thought I would write a review.
Hotel: The hotel itself was great, easy access to the tube and a great walking location, easy check-in, very kind staff and the concierge was very helpful from the moment we pulled up. Rooms were very nice, modern, and clean. Cleaning staff did a great job with our room and they even set up the sofa bed since we had our two children with us ( 1 and 3 years old). There's a pharmacy, 2 express markets, and a Starbucks and Pret around the corner. Late night food options were limited, but 24 hour room service and Uber Eats were a good alternative.
To and From in taxi: If you're a family who likes to take taxis I would be careful. The taxi to the hotel was $150 because the roads to get here are dead stop with traffic. Even coming back here from Harrods at 10pm cost us $60 because of the traffic.
Hotel Food: The Italian restaurant in the hotel was very nice, the food was great and the service was amazing. Shout out to Sumit and Pranil who were just awesome when we ate at their restaurant, very professional and kind, outstanding service. Their manager was also very kind, unfortunately we didn't get his name.
Room Service: The food is limited but the options fit for most people, it was a bummer they didn't have pizza for our kids. The food was fresh and great quality and the pricing was very fair. They only give you 1 napkin per order which was tough with kids, and we didn't really want to call for more because we felt bad asking them to bring more. Also, our last night there was a miscommunication about which sandwich we ordered. We ordered a chicken sandwich for our 3 year old and I'm not sure if it was our fault or theirs but we called back because they brought us a huge chicken club and we wanted the fried chicken that we ordered the night before as chicken tenders for our jet lagged daughter. We called and they said it wasn't an issue and they would bring the other one. Thinking they wouldn't care about the old sandwich, as most don't, we tried to give our daughter some of it. When they brought the sandwich they asked us to return the sandwich , I told them I had already dissected it trying to see if she would eat it. So they charged us for it as well which we thought was a little silly considering we probably spent over a thousand pounds on our stay. Shout to Rachel and the night manager for saving the hotel that 15 pounds, but maybe next time when you say it's not a problem just tell people you want them to return the food you're going to throw in the trash (unless they planned to reuse it â)
Overall a great hotel, would definitely recommend. Would of gave it 5 stars but it lacks the relaxing areas of a big hotel and the late night room service staff (Rachel and the manager) made us feel as if they thought we were some cheap people trying to get a...
Read moreDo not stay at this hotel - truly donât know why it has a high rating other than the room size and location. This is not a 5 star hotel.
We booked this hotel for a relaxing weekend trip. Every step along the way was an inconvenience.
We called to get an early check in, the receptionist said âYes, thatâs no problem, would noon work?â Which we said âthatâs perfect! Thank you so muchâ and then she said âno problem, please know that will be an extra ÂŁ60â.
Why wouldnât you lead with the extra charge? We ended up checking in at 3 as they couldnât accommodate any early check in - although the room was clearly available.
My partner came to check in and drop our bags as I was in a work meeting across town. As his name wasnât the main name on the booking and although he had the print out confirmation and booking reference, I needed to leave my meeting to send an email to confirm he could check in on my behalf - wouldnât accept a phone call.
We were placed on the 8th floor, elevator goes to the 7th floor and you need to climb the stairs for the 8th. The room was large but do not be fooled - this is not a 5 star hotel as advertised. The bed was hard, zero amenities in the room and lousy toiletries in the bathroom.
I did speak to the manager on duty about three issues and was told essentially âsorry - nothing we can really doâ. Not once did he say âwhat can I do to make your stay great / how can we turn around this experienceâ.
The final point was the late check out - again I called down to request an hour extra. The receptionist stated the checkout is at 11. If we wanted an extra hour, this would be 20ÂŁ.
We stayed at this hotel for the 5 Star rating and overall location. It was a massive letdown from the start, all the way to the end. You look for hotels to be accommodating and to help make your stay carefree - you will not find that here. Theyâre 100% not interested in making your stay special or carefree. The entire experience was an inconvenience. I highly recommend you look at other options.
Quick note to management: Take a moment to train your team. An early check in, or help with luggage goes a long way. Even offering a noon checkout when requested, really leaves a positive impact on a guest. Not everything needs to be about collecting that extra ÂŁ20. Itâs the small gestures that make a stay memorable. Weâre leaving with a sour taste and will never recommend this hotel - truly it could have been avoided but there was zero effort...
