We had a mixed visit this time. Myself and my daughter come here when we can. We had two slight negative situations happen. I get them out the way first. I have a fish allergy, so as always the manager came to take my order however another staff member had taken my daughters order. We both ordered the same Chicken gyoza and ginger +chicken udon noodles. My daughter's food came first and my came a bit later. (This is normal practice especially as the chef has to clean everything to cook my food!) As my daughter started to eat she noticed her Udon meal had a shrimp in it. (There are 2 Udon noodle meals on the menu, one with chicken and shrimp the other with just chicken) The manager came over and took the meal away and got the chef to cook another Udon meal. Not the best, however the situation was handled well by the manager. The second negative was more of a technical one. When you get seated you get told your table number and shown a QR code which takes you to an app to pay.So to you don't have to wait to catch a staff member. At the end, I went to pay and entered my table No but someone's else's food order came up. I tried a couple of times but in the end we had to get a staff member so we could pay. No idea what happened there! Now the positives. Waga:s is our favourite Dad+daughter day out. We love the food and love the O2 venu. The food (when it's right) is the best and comes freshly cooked. The Gyoza's are our go to 'starter' with the Udon noodle Ginger chicken as a main. It didn't disappoint this time. So fresh and piping hot. The female manager (sorry, didn't catch your name) was a delight and extremely polite. Even when I started waffling on about my fish allergy the female manager was polite and attentive. The other members of staff who served us were also polite. All in all a good lunch even with the slight hiccups. The four stars is because of the...
Read moreWhen my friends and I go down to The Excel for Comic Con, we always have a tradition to go to Wagamama everytime. It's always a meal we look forward to eating together. As it is always busy around that time, expect a long wait to get a seat. If you don't mind waiting it, it's worth the wait. The smell of the incredible food gets you very hungry whilst you wait! You are always greeted by a nice smiley staff member who shows you to your seat and asks you whether you want a drink and starter. The menu is packed with incredible foods! You can choose between vegan/vegetarian and the normal menus. Each have an amazing selection of foods and drinks. It's always difficult to choose as all look and sound incredible, but after being surrounded by people all weekend, getting a cold or feeling a little overtired, a ramen is always the medicine! The rich broth packed with flavour and really helps! I always start with a chicken gyoza, a ramen of some kind is one I love to go with too. You definitely get your monies worth with a ramen, the meat, noodles, the sides like onions etc. It's really filling. The seating is like school benches, which is surprisingly comfortable and get for socialising with your friends with some delicious food. I love the ginger beer they have, it's got an incredible tang. The iced tea is incredible too! Sometimes we get served by multiple staff members which can get a little confusing but as it is busy, I understand. All of the staff are nice and very helpful. The price is a little steep but to be honest you get your monies worth, definitely filling and so delicious. It's a tradition for us and I really enjoy going to Wagamama in Greenwich twice a year, have a nice weekend with my friends! Highly recommend but do expect a...
Read moreFirst time at Wagamamas. Arrived at around 8.15 on Sunday 30th April and waited while a waiter who did not greet us at all took the rubbish out. He then took us to a table without saying a single word. He did not wash his hands after dealing with the rubbish before touching our cutlery, we would have been happy to wait another minute or 2 for that! We were then asked if we were ready to order before we were given a menu. Once ordered, the sides turned up swiftly, as did my girlfriend's main course. My main, which the manager had personally taken the order for due to my nut allergy (nice touch and always appreciated) never materialised. After quite a wait a staff member came to our table to advise that the kitchen was about to close and if we wanted any more food we would need to order now. When asked where the food I had ordered was, she went and spoke to the manager and I could see a confused inquest taking place. In the end, she had to return to ask me what I had ordered as the manager clearly had no idea and had not put it through! The food then turned up fairly quickly and was OK, but it all seemed a bit rushed together. At absolutely no stage was there any acknowledgement that things had gone wrong or any apology offered, the manager who took the order seemed to disappear entirely. To add insult to injury, we were then asked to pay before I had finished eating as they were getting ready to close. We would have been finished and paid long before that had my order gone through. I am told this is not a usual experience at Wagamama and so I would be willing to give it another go but would try a different...
