I have never been to a worse place to have my hair done. I was 6 minutes late (anyone who lives in London knows that public transport can be a pain). I walked in and was looked up and down by the receptionist, not even greeted as she shouted to the hairdresser that her appointment was here. I was then greeted with 'you're very late' brought into and empty salon where another hairdresser was having her roots done and the rest of staff were standing around bickering about what hair products to order. My hairdresser told me my hair was messy, gave me the briefest consultation I have ever had and then shoved a brush in my face and told me to sort my hair out. She then did not speak to me for the duration of the appointment and talked to colleagues as if I was invisible. My hair is now a state, it has just had bleach put through it and does not suit me or my skin tone. I'm appalled by this place and their service - I was late but by only a few minutes and it wasn't like they were rushed off their feet, the atmosphere was cold and cliquey and unpleasant to be in for 2 hours. I am not a complainer and usually very polite and pleasant but I was so taken aback as I've never had an experience like this in London or anywhere else. I was asked to have a patch test before getting my extensive lockdown roots done, so popped in as agreed a few days before my appointment. While there, Chanel was happy to chat about what I was hoping for on the day. My appointment started on time, in the clean and spacious salon and I enjoyed the pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The colour blend and olaplex treatment left my curly hair in great condition and Chanel expertly created a nice, layered shape without significantly reducing the length (not always easy with curls in my experience!). Becki has been my hairdresser for about three years now and I couldn’t recommend her enough. She is super talented, friendly and professional. Changing hairdressers for me was a really stressful time and it caused me quite a bit of anxiety (my dad was a hairdresser and I would never let anyone else touch my hair). Becki made me feel so comfortable and made the transition a much easier time for me.
