Plug Types Under the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994, it is a criminal offence to place on the market or supply in the UK an appliance which is not fitted with either (i) a UK 3-pin plug, or (ii) a non-UK plug permanently fitted with a UK safety-approved conversion plug. It is not enough, for example, to provide a 3-pin plug adapter or to make the origin of the appliance clear on the product detail page. A loose adapter in the box in which the product is supplied is not sufficient. Possible sanctions for breach are fines and/or imprisonment.
Electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, and similar appliances are specifically addressed in the Regulations and may be supplied with a moulded-on 2-pin Europlug.

Read moreI donât know what happened to the lovely staff at the pharmacy but the new people there are really rude. Firstly, my mum has had her heart medication on repeat at this pharmacy for years, she was told that she could no longer order it through them and she had to contact her doctor. They were very unhelpful towards her and she was quite confused and upset by it, sheâs 80 years old, have some compassion.
My experience was the two ladies were extremely aggressive (in the pharmacy) when I questioned a lady who I thought had jumped the queue, all I said was âI was nextâ. The two ladies behind the counter verbally jumped on me like a pair of Rottweilers, when I was served, I gave one of the women the name of the some antihistamines tablets I wanted, she barely looked for them and said aggressively that they didnât have them. She didnât offer me any other alternative. You canât tell me that there were no antihistamines in the whole of the pharmacy. she just didnât want to serve me she had a really bad attitude.I wonât be using this chemist again Iâll...

I recently visited the Superdrug in Dalston, and I have to say, it was one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. First off, there's no air conditioning in the store. In the middle of summer, this makes the place unbearable! The heat inside is stifling, making it incredibly uncomfortable to shop for more than a few minutes. How the staff manage to work in such conditions is beyond meâit feels more like a sauna than a store.
Itâs hard to focus on anything when youâre sweating buckets and just want to get out of there as fast as possible. It's frankly shocking that a store like this would subject both its customers and employees to such awful conditions. I wonât be coming back anytime soon and would advise others to avoid this location until they decide to install proper air conditioning.
