It’s an entertaining way to take a boat ride on the Thames and see some of the iconic sites, as well as hear some bits of history (though there was very little that I didn’t know). I realize that it is designed to be for all the family, which means these days with kids in mind, and we were two seniors and probably the only people without kids, but nevertheless I found the humour a bit too potty oriented (you know, jokes about poo and farts). Is that really the only type of humour that kids can appreciate? And, it is full of the expected beheadings, hangings, hangings with quartering, torture, and lots of other such horrible bits of British history. I suppose in Britain kids are immune to this stuff and hear about it plenty, and the jovial manner in which it was all imparted is, I suppose very British? (I’m American). I just imagined my kids when they were the young ages of some of the kids present on our ride and I think they would have had nightmares following...

We had the teacher and Bill in our tour.
Only two nitpics... Anne Boleyn didn't get the axe, she got the sword... (I think!) and maybe give a shout to Mary Seacole, not just Florence Nightingale!
I seriously hope HH becomes part of the curriculum one day, I'd've loved history if it...

They had several hours to inform us of this. We were over from Ireland for a weekend and we organised our day around the 2.45tour. We had 3 young kids left wandering aimlessly around london for the bones of 5 hrs as we were staying 60mins away, so we didn’t have enough time to go to do another activity that would last a similar amount of time before being in convent garden for a show at 5.30…:: really poor form we weren’t advised earlier in the day so we could schedule a different activity. Terrible Thames tour is the right name...
