I’m a nanny and have been bringing the little one here for the past month. I have been to a lot of groups over the last twenty years but this is no doubt one of the best! It’s clean, spacious and fun, the little one (19mths) lights up and claps as we go inside. The staff are so genuine and enthusiastic about what they do. At the start of the lesson they give details of what skills will be used and the aims, so extremely helpful as a nanny to report back to the parents. Joe goes all out (endless enthusiasm) and is one of the best teachers I have seen. The little one was a bit nervous as she hadn’t done any sort of movement activity class before and Joe never gave up on gaining her trust. My bosses have noted the difference in her physical confidence since starting. She now talks about “little gym” and “Joe, wow roly-poly” all the time! They talk the grown ups through how to support each move and have always been so happy to show me when I have been nervous. They sing rhymes and songs to encourage them to do things like “tuck their heads in before a roll” which the little ones love. Our daughter regularly attends the Sunday morning gym classes and absolutely loves the sessions - they are engaging, have helped improve her co-ordination & strength as well as being fun! We hosted her 3rd birthday party at the gym last weekend and the staff at the gym went above and beyond to make sure the party ran smoothly - helping us with set up, welcoming guests, cutting the cake & pack down. All 22 children who attended the party were thoroughly engaged in the activities in the gym so the adults were able to have an hour chill time (you can watch the kids through the glass as they take part in the class). We set up a make shift bar and were allowed to bring in alcohol for the adults - the space at the gym is fantastic with a large kitchen/eating area and space for the kids to run around. Absolutely love the place - the instructors are very friendly and my daughter is learning so much about balance and careful risk taking. The place is very cosy, you can play with your other child in a children corner and make your own coffee and tea. You can watch your child from a wall wide window - my daughter loves it as she can show off everything that she is learning. Instructors also come out and let us know what they learned and how they did. The place is also very flexible - if you are absent, you just need to let them know and you can take the class another time (any time they have available).
