Let me shared with you for those who intend to buy this property. This property is totally a disaster. We bought this flat in April and when we move it after a week later it had this weird rattling noise which at first me and my partner thought it could be a piping sound. But it is getting worst and woke us up as it getting louder.
It took us months getting to n fro emailing with Hydes and after that they told us they had to open up the ceiling of the room which then they will put us up in one of the empty unit for 2 week. They mentioned that it will be ready on Thursday and we need to move back in on 11Aug. Well, sadly to say no, it is not ready. We had to fly for work trip on Sunday for a week.
We were told on Friday that it will be ready in mid noon on 11Aug as there is a delay but Nope. We received a call from the concierge saying they are sending cleaners to the flat which they put us up and said we have to move our stuffs immediately and wouldn't even ALLOW us to move our stuffs for 2hours. Firstly, I m pregnant. How am I going to move all the stuffs with my partner alone. This is totally unacceptable. We told them that we need to wait for our flat to be ready in order to move out of this temporary flat which they put us. The concierge said our flat is ready and had cleaned.
So before my partner went down to meet the concierge I told him lets look at our flat to be sure it is done. To our dismay, it is not yet finished. We are told by the engineer who is in our flat that the house will not be ready till Monday.
Now, where are we going to stay tonight? What are we going to do with the stuffs that is in this temporary flat as we are not in London for 1 week.
Seriously, what a termendous stress I had to go though. I demand a good explanation with Hydes and the developer. It is totally unacceptable.
PS. for those who use skyQ or Sky internet. forget about this stupid building. they only have Sky plus which some of the channels are not working even though I paid for all the channels and I had to forgo my sky Internet which comes in a bundle in order to enjoy better rates.
All they have is a BT network and Hyperoptic...
Read moreThe building is creaking every time it is windy. Save yourself from a bad experience and don’t move here. Oh, and people including real estate agencies, know about this problem, yet no one speaks out. The creaking has been present in the building since they opened up (2018) and on all levels. The lift takes ages to arrive. It can take up to 3-4 minutes to get down to ground floor if you are unlucky. At least the concierge team is good, although they are not part of this building, are they? Overall experience, the view is outstanding, probably is going to stay one of the best views in the city until another development rises in front of this building (towards to the North side), but the creaking noise is a real issue. You can hear the creaks even with an earplug in. When someone says that the creaking is only on the lower levels, it is a lie. I lived way up in the middle and the creaking gone up to 73dB on one occasions during my 6 months stay. That’s like switching a vacuum cleaner on every now and then, throughout a whole night. The developers of this building has dissolved in 2019, one year after the opening of this building... leaving the constructors Laing O’Rourke alone for being responsible to fix the mess what possibly they have done... during the...
Read moreTransport links are very nice with multiple bus stops within footsteps and tube just next to the buildings. Concierge are very friendly as well (24 hours reception) Water pressure is a bit low to my expectation, but bearable. There is a gym in the building so it is very convenient (though you need to complete gym induction in the first hand) The apartment that I live in is rectangular in design - this allow me to fully utilize all the space. Will comment again when I live for a longer period. So far I have moved in for 3 weeks, and everything is up...
