Lucky Tandoori — Local services in Norwich

Very dissatisfied as I’ve used these guys for a long time but tonight we ordered a curry ( yes New Year’s Eve ) But after 90 mins I called to see when the food would be here. He said 10 mins. I called back again at 2 hours ( no apology he said would def be here in twenty mins. At 3 hours I called again ( no apology or sorry it’s new year so delayed) I’ll call the driver and a call you back. No call back so I called Again and asked for discount, he said £5 on a £27 order, I said no thanks if not here in 20 mins please cancel so he offered £7? Turned up 30 mins later so 3 1/2 hours from ordering. Offered driver £20 ( £27 with £7 discount ) who tried to fob me off with”as its new year expect a wait so should pay £27. “ Said no, he called shop and paid agreed price. Curry nice as usual but as expected Luke warm. I appreciate its New Year but the lack of honesty or apology for a 3 hour late, Luke warm curry won’t make me go back again any time soon. Shame. Just received my order..... it was an hour and ten minutes before it arrived, sadly my dish was inedible on the plus side my partner liked her food so it was just myself that went hungry. I called to complain to say my tikka was "off the chart hot" and I was met with a very ill mannererd man on the end of the phone.

I simply asked to refund the dish not the whole order which I thought was a fair way to approach (apparently not) .....I was told I had no idea what I was talking about and they couldn't possibly have made a mistake, even though at the start of the conversation he stated "we were the people that ordered extra hot"...then back tracked heavilly when he thought he might have to part with £6.50 to correct his mistake (obviously given the wrong ticket to the chef).

Personally wouldn't ever order or recommend this place again.

Rude, bad food and a incredibly dated way to go about handleing...

I used to frequent this establishment very regularly up until around 2 years ago when my regular and loyal custom was awarded by very poor service and food quality on more than one occasion. Nonetheless, this past Saturday evening I thought I'd give Lucky Tandoori another try and, hoped that things were back to their former best. Therefore I phoned through my order and went to collect myself. Service was polite, friendly and efficient. However, what let things down in my opinion was the food. Whilst I'd noticed that the menu had some new additions from my previous visits, the food I ordered turned out to be quite bland. Disappointing to say the least, especially as I know the experience at Lucky Tandoori has been much better...
