Murat Food Centre — Local services in Nottingham

Are you people for real with these positive reviews or just the owners' relatives/friends? Anyway, I used to like to go there but since they raise prices almost every week I came to dislike it. Many items have gone up from e.g. £1.20 to £1.90 in a matter of 2 months and quite a few products get more expensive around fortnightly (!) by £0.20-£0.30. It means that if something costs £1.00 now you can be sure as hell it'll cost £1.30-£1.40 in about 8-10 weeks. I've experienced it first hand. The bakery got worse. The turkish bread is now smaller by around 30% on the same price, so are buns, continental breads, etc.

Sure, it sells food no one really does but that doesn't justify the extortionate prices even of products you can buy almost anywhere. Only the butcher section has good prices for the quality.

The price tags are missing from many items and many products cost more at the till than what the tags say. You have to be careful because they won't tell you that you paid more. But are you supposed to memorise/write down the price of each product you put in your basket (especially when there's no price tag, right?) and make sure they won't make you pay more at the till? Really...?

I love this shop, doing my weekly shopping here, sometimes twice, but the prices...wow..to much increase for what? I know quality have a price, but this is way to expensive. The lady from the till need to learn some manners. I asked her today to bring me another bag of rice as the one i had it she broke by mistake with her nails ( saw it but diden't tell her to don't offend her) but she totaly refuse it and showed me the way where i can find the rice as i could'nt remember it. Having a baby who can't stay relax and doing shoppings is a bit hard, if you understand... A little bit more respect for customers and a bit more help when they ask for will not kill anyone. Always same atitude! To sad....The butchers always been nice with me and my kids. A plus for...

Oh my God, how rude all the staff is.. including the owner - being rude, obnoxious & arrogant on top of all that... and all of them are mostly clueless, except for ripping people off!! The ladies at the Tills are no better - not polite at all, even no 'thank you' or anything like that - just vicious & blank stares at the end of the transaction. (also, watch your change and check the prices at the till are same as on the shelves) I don't know how they are getting away with it - they deserve NO stars at all... and there are always flies around in there. People must be really desperate to shop here What's the saying...? - "Fool me once - shame on you.. fool me twice - shame on me..!"
