Whoa—we happened to be round the corner so thought we'd pop in to try Blend and I can confidently say we had the BEST coffee around (from Stewart's next door). The grilled cheeses were out of this world, too! What a neat place—an open, airy space with natural light just pouring in over comfy seating, lively greenery, colourful dĂ©cor, and even a welcoming workbench area (for more productive visitors!) Clean, casual, fun, and friendly with sprawling outdoor seating just outside—the perfect spot to pop in and take away or sit and stay a while. Coffee and reusable cups available to buy as well—the coffee prices are competitive with the likes of Lavazza, so absolutely no reason not to get your hands on these incredible locally roasted beans to enjoy at home! Full marks all round—we'll definitely be back x x Update: this is our default grub when we're on this side of town. They change the menu often and we've tried several more of their delicious creations. The service and food is consistently top-notch and staff are happy to grind any beans you buy to takeaway. Really glad to see other locations around the city (although this is the only spot they do a full hot breakfast / brunch / grilled cheese menu). No complaints—highly recommend!

In the first instance, I could not help but feel like the introduction of another potentially 'pretentious' coffee place was another factor into the gentrification of Sneinton - stripping away at its history. In the past, I would wander through Sneinton and into Hockley passing by on many occasions. However, after a few wanders I chose to stop in to be invited by people from all communities in each corner of the world. It was this experience which showed how I had unfairly underestimated what a local business like this could bring to the community. With an extensive menu including a range of accommodations, series of flavours and options I was pleased. I chose to sit in with an order of a blue vanilla iced matcha which was something completely different for but something that complimented my own taste buds. I sat in on a Spring day with plenty of beautiful natural lighting beaming in.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blend: A Culinary Gem Blend is nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment you walk in, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee captivates your senses and sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. The coffee is hands down the best I’ve ever had—rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection. But Blend is not just about coffee; their food is equally impressive. Every dish is a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and crafted with the finest ingredients. Whether you're indulging in a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a delectable dessert, each bite is pure bliss. The ambiance is cosy and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Blend is the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy some of the best food and coffee you'll ever taste. Highly recommend!

I visited this cafe to join my friend during a study session. Immediately sitting down before I’d even managed to get my laptop out of my bag, Katie the manager approached me and my friend (my friend had brought an iced drink) and told me I’d need to leave if i wasn’t buying a drink. My friend had bought a drink however, but i didn’t as I was not thirsty.

Firstly, I hadn’t even had the chance to properly unpack my uni work yet alone look at the menu. Secondly, she approached just us and nobody else, exclaiming that our table would need to be used for “paying customers”, ironically my friend had a drink on the table that had been purchased from the cafe but she didn’t seem to care.

We nicely explained to Katie that we understand where she is coming from but she said that because my friend had nearly finished her drink, we were no longer paying customers and so needed to leave. I was going buy a drink but her attitude stank and therefore I did not want to support this business.

Upon leaving, it seemed like most fellow students also use this area for studying and 2/10 people had actually purchased something from the cafe and 8/10 were sat with nothing. But why did Katie not approached them and kick them out?

The attitude from this manager is completely unprofessional, and as a fellow hospitality worker, I can confirm that I have never kicked someone out because they’re about to finish their...

Yesterday I went to blend with three friends to have a few drinks and do some watercolour paintings as part of an art project about sneiton market. After 30 minutes of being there a man came over and told us “this is all nice and everything (in a very sarcastic tone) but you need to leave as you have only bought two drinks and we need the table”. I was in shock, as a waitress myself I would never dream of being so rude to a customer. Absolutely appalling customer service. We continued to stay for another 10 minutes to finish off our paintings and pack up, then a female waitress came over and said “if you aren’t going to buy anything else can you move as those women want to sit here”. I was yet again taken aback by how discourteous her tone was. As a student I felt looked down upon and think that if it was a group of older women in this situation then it simply wouldn’t of happened. Therefore if you are a student or teenager I do not recommend this place and they can be completely patronising and do not care about their customers experience, they only care...
