Bit booming place to talk in, high ceilings and bad acoustics. The front door catches you out as you pull it to get in and push to exit.
Food looks okay and the prices very appealing. Nice friendly staff.
Don't take the first date here as it would be the only date, or maybe she likes this sort of thing. Purple hair and metal on the face types eat here. Workmen love the place.
Coffee was £1.90 and not really a strong coffee or flavour enough for me, a bit of attention needed here.
Service I would say is good overall.
Sneinton was once the salt of the Earth types but now all the Earth types walk about, strange and weird and diverse but not strong, so watch out.
Yes I recommend The Avenues Café.
Sort the coffee out and do something about the acoustics. Add 10p for the better coffee, who will notice 10p but rave about...
Read moreVery disappointed. After reading all the reviews I thought I would try a take out on my way to work. I Ordered a baguette with egg and bacon, I didn’t think to check when she handed me it. No bacon was included only egg, and not much of that either. Appreciate it may have been only £3 so fillings may not be over generous but what I got was so shocking and poor I chucked it in the bin. I personally won’t be returning which is a shame as my business is literally round the corner. Maybe they are only good at doing the fry ups looking at peoples comments, so anyone thinking of going I would probably advise to stick to that...
Read moreI love it here and I always recommend it. The staff are lovely and always helpful. They are chatty, friendly and very welcoming. The prices are amazing! It's so affordable which is great for a tight budget (for example 90p for slices of toast and £1 for a black coffee!) They're doing refurbishments and although it looked nice originally, it looks more modern now and looks spacious and inviting. They have a large, single toilet, set up to accommodate disabled users. I absolutely love the way they accommodate for children by having steps to reach the taps and toilet, along with a removable smaller seat (I think). They also have a nice, new, static wooden baby change area which has a mat and room to put...
