Switch Retail and Leisure Park — Local services in Sefton

We went to B&M Stores, and began our shopping. We managed to get part of the way through when we noticed how many people were not wearing masks. Outside the store, they had a "Cleaning Station" - hand sanitiser, alcohol spray to clean trollies and even gloves, but no masks. The store SOLD masks, but made no effort to encourage people to use them. They did not even have a member of staff at the door. I would've thought they would have been monitoring the number of customers in the shop at any one time. I was under the impression, given we are in "Tier 3" in Liverpool City Region that wearing a mask was COMPULSORY for both staff and customers. Numerous staff & half the customers were maskless. We immediately headed for the tills, where there was NO ATTEMPT being made to request people remained two metres apart. We left our trolley and exited the store....unimpressed.

We then went to the drive-thru McDonalds where the situation could not have been more different. Staff wearing masks and gloves - as little cash handling as possible and, despite the number of cars, a steady throughput meant we got our food in a responsible & timely manner.

The only other comment I would make is how difficult it was to travel the couple of hundred yards from B&M to McDonalds. It took half an hour! Traffic was atrocious with nobody doing anything to help and drivers left to fend for ourselves. All-in-all an unsatisfactory visit (only rescued in part by McD's!!)

Hey, we have BNM bargains Matalan and dunelm. This is just yet another Crown estate owned retail park. There is a McDonald’s and a subway here. The main attraction is the ever so expensive Odeon cinema.

There is ample parking which doesn’t seem to have a time limit, but be careful. I think it’s three hours maximum read the signs if you’re coming out of the cinema be prompt.

The local drivers here are absolute lunatics. Everyone is hellbent on getting in and out of the retail park when they turn out of lanes or on the roundabout and into and out of parking base it’s as if you are not there.

Pedestrians beware also long straight access lanes you may get run over walking to and from your car if you’re not firm on fleet of foot

Gently, I try to avoid this one, but I always get drawn in by the lower of some cheap . Okay, so actually I found that things cost more here than any other outlets so don’t go there. Go to the nearby Mc racecourse retail site instead.

Final note there are absolutely no cash machines on this retail park. If you are not buying with a card, don’t expect to be able to...

A very large car park adjacent to a huge shopping area. With shops such as Dunelm, Matalan, B&M, and more. Also at the shopping park is a large cinema, and pub serving food and drink, and two other eateries.
