I had been eyeing several fragrances online, fully intending to blind buy — as we all do after a rabbit hole of YouTube reviews and scent blogs. But there’s always that lingering uncertainty: Will I be sent a fake? Will the fragrance actually suit me?

I’m so glad I decided to visit Freshity in person instead.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by two lovely girls — knowledgeable, welcoming, and best of all, not at all overbearing. They offered assistance if needed, then gave me the space to explore at my own pace — something that’s surprisingly rare in retail environments, and so deeply appreciated.

It was a pleasure to take my time and trial all the scents I’d shortlisted online. Being able to test them on skin, to see how they evolved, made such a difference. Some lived up to expectations, a few didn’t, and one — suggested by one of the assistants when I was struggling to decide — completely surprised me. I hadn’t even considered it before, but it turned out to be the perfect fit. I walked out happily with two bottles in hand.

The entire experience felt calm, thoughtful, and entirely customer-focused — no pressure, no rush, just a genuine enthusiasm for helping you find something that truly suits you.

They have a lot of new fragrances but the customer service I got was below satisfactory. I came with my mother and my autistic brother as I had seen the shop online. He dropped one thing and we were told to be more careful by the lady at the store. I had actually picked about 3-4 (worth in total about 300) perfumes that I would have gotten but I decided to not purchase anything after that. I had to tell them that they could go and wait in the car. I also felt hurried, asked about two times if I was done, also when I said jokingly that I needed to use new testing strips as I was getting confused. She said maybe I should maybe I should use both sides. I have not seen that done anywhere and it’s not practical. Not sure if this is a race thing because she was much more patient with the Caucasian and Asian clients. I guess only God knows. There are other perfume shops in sheffield and online/ TikTok. Let’s all be kind to one another and educate ourselves. Mercy...
