Delicious food, served in an amazing atmosphere.
The vegan menu was perfect for my husband who has been dairy free for a year, and meant we could order anything on the menu with confidence, but many of the dishes you'd have had trouble to realise it was vegan food. As it was a Sunday afternoon my husband went for the Sunday service, the 'beef' Wellington which was delicious and served with roasties, Yorkshire pudding, vegetables and Henderson relish gravy. We ordered cauliflower cheese which was delicious and a couple of extra Yorkshires. The only disappointing thing was the Yorkshires, they were a bit heavy and the wrong texture, but given the ingredients are usually egg and milk I can't fault them for trying. I had the 'not chicken' skewers with rainbow slaw which was lovely, though the satay sauce was incredibly spicy so I didn't get to enjoy it as much. It's not labelled as spicy on the menu so beware if you order it and are not a fan of hot sauces.
For dessert we had a creme brulee and a solero cheesecake, both were gorgeous and rich, if you're a dairy free person I recommend going even if just for dessert as its so hard to find delicious creamy ones without there being something involving dairy.
My only issue with the atmosphere is that the dining area was quite dark when we sat in there which means you'd struggle to really see and appreciate how beautiful the food looks, though I would just ask for a table in a lighter area if we went again.
The building itself is fabulous, opulent and modern at the same time, little pods to sit in to play PlayStation games and a brilliant photo booth where for £3.50 you get 2 copies of some brilliant photos as a momento. The amazing stained glass windows look great from the outside too. The location is a little bizarre, it's not quite in Kelham island but feels as though it would fit in there. It's worth spending some time looking around inside if you get the chance, the amazing ceiling frescos are so quirky
Prices aren't cheap but are reasonable, for 2 mains, a couple of sides, 2 desserts, a coffee and a bottle of wine came to £73. Service was fantastic from start to finish.

Read moreThis was a second visit to this amazing vegan eatery which offers way more than just a vibrant 100% vegan menu. This old steel mill converted restaurant now takes the style of a reformed church with a hoard of religious themed paintings and ornaments, and even aptly themed stained glassed windows! It’s a social hub with a stage for live performances and other creative activities (this time they had a figure drawing class in session!) retro arcade machines, a pool table, cushion-lined cubby holes with retro gaming and a Photo Booth in the form a of a confessional box. Plus they boast a good selection of homemade desserts and specials.
After a good week, we deserved a treat and some of my work colleagues were curious when I was telling how excited I was to return here. Them being non-vegans googled the menu and were mouth wateringly surprised. One of them picking out the Hex-Mex Burger which is what I had here. A Beyond Meat patty coated in a BBQ sauce and crunchy tortilla crumb served on a bed of lettuce, salsa and guac. Topped with two cheese slices and their homemade tortilla parcels filled with their signature chilli, topped with diced jalapeños and chilli jam. The stack is sandwiched in a red Bring Me The Horizon branded brioche bun, topped with a mini panko pickle.
Previously I had the “Syko” (also modelled here) which is a B12 burger served in a charcoal black bun. Topped with their smoky Syko Sauce, 2 jumbo crispy onion rings, layered with smoked Applewood cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo.
Served with a generous side of Satay Away Crispy waffle fries which are smothered in a rich peanut satay sauce, with Oumph chicken chunks, roast peppers, spring onions and a touch of sesame seeds AND (IKR!) Chick’n Tenders which is homemade seitan chicken fried in a spiced buttermilk crumb served with BBQ and Garlic Mayo.
Cannot recommend this place enough and is certainly a worthy place of...

Had my birthday meal here and honestly, it was amazing. The staff were so friendly, and they even wrote “Happy Birthday” on a slab on the table – little touches like that mean a lot.
The vibe was chill but quirky – lights, colours, and cool stuff on the walls (neurodivergent-friendly big time!). There’s a photo booth, pool table, PlayStation area upstairs, and I’ve heard they do live music too, though I only came for food this time.
All the food is vegan – and trust me, even the meat-eaters in my family were shocked how good it was. They were reading the menu like it was in another language 😂 but ended up loving every bit. They actually wanted more! I had a lush mocktail and even grabbed a tee from the merch stand.
My mum has really bad dietary needs (gluten-free, soy-free, vegan) and the staff went out of their way to sort her something proper. That meant the world – not everywhere does that.
Whole night was just spot on. Food, vibes, staff, all of it. If you’ve got ADHD or autism or you’re just a bit quirky like me, this place makes you feel right at home.
My only concern was the toilets — my mum has lung disease and the only ones we were shown were up a very steep staircase. I didn’t see any downstairs or get offered an accessible option. If you use a wheelchair or have mobility issues, I’d recommend calling ahead to check if they have accessible toilets. Not all disabilities are visible, so it’s just something to be aware of. If you don’t need that, it won’t be an issue — but I always include things like this for others with diverse needs.
Thanks church for helping make my 40th a good...
