Some of the boats water guns don't work. Unfortunately this has been the case for a few years now. I would have thought that during winter closure would be an ideal time for maintenance on such things. This is also the case with some other things in alton towers. The battle galleons ride is a family fun interactive ride that sits on a small part of the lake next to the courtyard and Mutiny bay. This is a water ride where you all sit inside a little pirate ship and can use the onboard water pistols to fire water and other riders in other boats and also return fire to members of the public who use water guns in the areas that surround the ride. It's a really fun ride but be prepared...

We gonna get wet. Soaking wet. Bring towels and or a change of clothes. Be aware that it looks fun and the younger team members will want to go on it, but they might get scared once the battle actually begins.
