Top place for a float. I hadn't ever done this before, but was gifted 3 floatation sessions. The staff here are helpful and explain how everything works and what to expect. If you haven't ever done a floatation session before, here's what to expect. You are given a private room that you can lock behind you. You take a shower before the floatation session, so that you help to keep the facilities clean. Accessories are provided depending on your needs, there are earplugs, some vaseline gel, a spray mister, and a head float. Towels are also provided. I found that I only needed earplugs. You climb into the pod as it fills up with water that is heavily salted with Epsom salts. You close the pod so that you are completely enclosed. There is an emergency button inside the pod if you really need it. The pod is lit at the beginning of the session and light meditative music is played for about 5 minutes. The lighting changes colour and becomes dimmer and eventually cuts out with the music, leaving you in complete darkness to float inside the tank. It is a very unique experience and my first session was a little unsettling, with subsequent sessions getting better and better. At the end of the session, the music starts again, lighting slowly returns and eventually the tank drains. I recommend staying in the tank floating until it has completely drained. The sensation of returning to your full weight in the world is quite amazing. This is definitely something worth doing and while I wouldn't call it completely relaxing in the normal sense of the word, it makes you more aware of all the tensions that you carry in your body and facilitates relaxation. It also gives you much needed downtime. I want to come back and combine this with a massage....

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI received a gift voucher for a massage and float session and was very excited as I had always wanted to try a float session.
My massage was really nice and relaxing, I would recommend that.
I was quite disappointed with the float though, the room was very cold which then made the air in my pod cold even with the door all the way down. All I could think about was how cold I felt and could not relax which was a bummer. Iām very much into mindfulness and was hoping I get really relax into an almost meditative state. I had to end my float 20-30 minutes early due to this. When I went to leave I did let the front desk worker know how cold it was and she just said sorry and that if I do come back try to get a different room. That kind of response was really not what I was hoping to hear and not an incentive to get me back in to try again. The front desk worker also stated they knew that the room I was in cold and have heard it from others yet continue to let others come and float and freeze which makes it unenjoyable and Iām sure makes myself and others not ever...
