I went shopping about 1:00pm Friday 7/3/2020 and decided to first stop at Pierce Furniture in Abilene. I was surprised to see no one wearing masks or facial coverings in the store. The customers were wearing face masks but none of the staff were.spite the State mandate that went into effect at Noon requiring everyone to wear face masks. The sales person kept his distance at least, not coming within about 12 feet of us or farther. I was more surprised when I went to Gallery furniture and found all of their staff wearing face masks as required. All the other stores I went to that day (total of 6) I found all of their employees wearing face masks. On Saturday I went back to look at items a second time. I stopped at Pierce Furniture first and when I entered a store I found a party atmosphere with a large group of all the employees gathered right at the front door, NO ONE WAS WEARING FACE MASKS. No one even acted like they cared about it. We left and went back to the furniture store across the street. We finally made a purchase, but not at Pierce Furniture. I have to tell you that the fact that everyone showed such disrespect for the law did influence my purchase decision.I work in a Covid-19 isolation unit and come into direct contact with Covid victims on a regular basis. I feel that anyone that takes no precautions these days are complete fools and have total disregard for the health and safety of others. It is so disappointing that not one of your employees at this...
Read moreI purchased a recliner from the furniture in Frankfort Kentucky was not informed of no returns when I got it home, I realized it was way too small for me. Hard to determine size next to 50 other recliners when I when I return back to the store with the recliner, I was told no refunds he was however willing to exchange for a much more expensive recliner almost triple the price when I asked for a refund he said that’s a new one on him yeah right he’s been in business 20yrs+ and know one has ever asked for a refund on something bought there also was told he couldn’t refund my money because it was spent on bills! Another excuse!! He said he would call me back with a reasonable offer I was even willing to take less for the recliner $250.00 he said no !!! He said he was willing to consign it in his store, and when it sold refund my money back then for less that I paid for it bottom line is stay away from this guy he deals in...
Read moreThis is a great place for decent furniture that is affordable. It isn't a 'nice' place to shop and it was a little warm inside even though it was only 92 outside. But the manager was extremely helpful along with the gentleman who loaded my furniture. I would pay attention to prices because not everything they sell is a good price but I would say most of what I saw was less expensive than most places in Abilene. They offer bedroom suits, couches, love seats, recliners, eating tables and chairs, coffee tables, mattresses, side and end tables, kid bedroom furniture, bunk beds, and some decor like wall hangings and lamps. They did not have a huge selection but no one really does during this time. They sell you the piece directly off the showroom floor. They will deliver but they were running about a week out at the time of this post. If you do not want delivery they will load your piece(s) into your vehicle for you to...
