At Home — Local services in Abington Township

A random guy came up to use and said leave my store or I’m calling the cops. Me and my brother asked if we had done something wrong and he refused to answer. He then stated if we are with our parents and we proceeded to say yes and he then kept asking for us to take him to them. We stated that we don’t feel comfortable with doing that, knowing our rights, and he walked away to the front entrance. He was in the phone with someone and walked up to us and started talking saying there’s 2 white males and then proceeded to walk away again. Later we went to our parents and told them what had happened and they went up to him and he said that we told him we weren’t with anyone in the store when we clearly said we were multiple times. When we were at work he register paying for a carpet the cops showed up and he was talking to them and then went away to the store knowing we would have said something to him if he stood there. WORST at home ever. Very disappointed and...

It almost hurts to rate this store such a low rating considering when they first opened, it was so clean, neat and the floor workers were very nice and helpful. After my first visit, I think I talked about this store for weeks telling everyone about it. Fast forward almost two years later (today), it's a hot mess! I went today for some living and bathroom decor and I was disappointed 😞. There were so many things out of place, a lot of flower pots broken in the aisles, when asked if I needed help the worker had no idea where the item would/could be and brushed it off by apologizing and just going about her day, restocking shelves. If I hadn't known better, it would seem the whole store was on clearance. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic and staffing may be low (a bunch of assumptions at this point) I will meet them in the middle with a fair rating. I hope I can change my rating in the future. I want the owner to understand that the two women or whatever you want to call those individuals who worked today, May 16th, are the laziest people I’ve ever come across. Why is it so hard to help a customer? The store is literally a giant warehouse with zero organization.

I asked two employees for help, and they told me, “The best we can do is point you in the direction.” IF THAT WAS ANY HELP, I WOULDN’T HAVE ASKED. I approached them in the most respectful way possible and simply asked if I could please get help. You’ve worked here long enough to know where things are — and if a customer asks to be shown where something is, why is that so hard?

Before I even said a word, the short, overweight woman already had an attitude for no reason — giving me side eyes and a nasty look on her face. Unless it’s against store policy to walk a customer to a product, the owner seriously needs to take a look at who’s being hired....
