Gave the place 3 stars because I couldn't do the 2 employees that are good dirty. Let me start by saying I'm a advocate for small businesses all day. I'd rather go to a mom and pop shop before the major companies. When I 1st heard of lucky 7 it was @ the corner of Horsham and 611. Wanted to go there a few times but was hesitant. Saw it ended up closing and I thought "good thing I didn't go,must have been bad". Then I saw they opened up on Welsh Rd across from the old Kmart. My Barber came in one day and had a sandwich and I asked where he got it from, He said Lucky 7. I thought hmm must be pretty good. Looked on their site to see what ppl say like always. Not to bad. So I decided to try them out. They weren't that bad. Prices pretty good and food ok. Next time around I try a bacon egg and cheese on a keiser roll. Bacon tasted funny but all in all pretty good. Definitely a lot of meat. Next few times noticed no gloves being worn, bacon and sausage being put in a fryer to be cooked. Not so bad until you eat it and taste fish, chicken, onion rings and french fries. Come in a few more times to give them my business. The last time I was in there was a few days ago around 10:30. Wanted to try something different. Saw they had a whole sheet pan full of chicken. I asked the little short older cook if the chicken was fresh. Wrong thing to do. He got upset and said how dare u ask that, it's 10:30 why would it be old. Told him I was just asking a question. He walked off disgruntled. Not 2 minutes later the younger cook brings out fresh chicken from the oven or somewhere. Needless to say he never acknowledged me after that and I just left. Long story short. It was 5 am this morning and I was hungry as hell and they are open. I'll wait to go eat BK and use my $4 coupon. Good...
Read moreTo start i will say the checkout was nice and easy and the staff seemed to be very friendly but my experience at Lucky 7 Deli wasnt at all like the reviews that I have read. The cheesesteak that I ordered, which i will admit did have a lot of meat on it, was flavorless and a wet mess. I understand that cheesesteaks are always going to be naturally greasy, but it wasn't grease. It was just wet. It is hard to explain, it was as if they boiled it, and didn't strain it. The meat was mushy as it could get, and the roll was like a wet sponge. I don't understand how other reviews can be so positive but my cheesesteak tasted like plain old beef in a glass of water. I hope that this is not the normal, and that I must of had a new cook or something. Maybe I will give them a second chance but it will not be...
Read moreI visited for the first time [since 2018] & they haven’t missed a beat. Quick, and easy service. Food was delicious & priced reasonably. $9.99 for a stuffed 10” hoagie.
More visit context: I was soooo hungry upon arrival. While I was waiting I asked (who seemed to be) the owner if it was any way that I could buy just one chicken wing (they’re hot n ready). He said in such a kind voice that I could just have it! I assumed he was joking and asked him the price. He further explained that since he’s never seen me before, he’d happily let me give the chicken a try and maybe if I like it enough I’ll buy it next time. He took him on his offer and the chicken was delicious. I definitely will get...
