My dad and I took off work to come first thing in the morning and purchase two Ascend 12 t kayaks with the fishing package, which include the fold down seats and paddles. We were brought two seats from the back and didn’t notice until we got to the front that the seats had been outside, rusted and corroded. And didn’t tell us until we had to discover this nasty, black liquid spilling out from one seat, all over my pants. We were ready to buy them and we had to ask them where we could get “new” seats for our kayaks, but NO ONE was willing to work with us. All we heard is “new seats won’t be in”, which is horrible customer service. Several things could have been done for us (instead of convincing us that rusted, disgusting seats are okay): Help us locate new seats at another bass pro shop. Help us complete an online order and discount the shipping. Order more seats to the store and have us come back up for them.
The only solution they offered was “I can give you $50 off.” Really? We don’t want nasty, rusted, corroded kayak seats for our new kayaks…. That’s not a solution. Maybe keep your seats INSIDE for all kayaks. 🤔 So this DOESN'T HAPPEN for someone else. We’re extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.
One seller recommended we could try a Chattanooga store? Like—in Tennessee?! Seriously?! There are closer Bass Pro stores than TENNESSEE, dude! 😏 This is so sad. My dad and I have shopped at this Cabela’s for years and never had such a bad experience…. Hopefully they improve their work...
Read moreVery disappointed in your Santa's winter wonderland this year! We have 4 children and we have been taking them to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop for 5 years. We return every year just for this because we always felt it was an enjoyable experience. Our closest location is almost a 2 hour drive from our house but we make the trip because of the convenience of being able to make an appointment and all the activities make it fun for our children. The Acworth Georgia location hardly had any of the decorations they usually have, didn't have any of the little displays the children can usually try like in years past. (Dive remote control cars, building blocks or logs, kinetic sand.) They only had one of the shooting stands and it was closed. They usually have 3 different ones. They so didn't have any art's and crafts like they usually do. We were literally in the store for 10 minutes because there was nothing for them but Santa and the fish. We usually walk around and shop but after the underwhelming experience and feeling like we made a waisted trip we were just ready to go. If this is how it will be going forward we will be finding a new Santa. Such a shame because it was such a cute event...
Read moreI purchased the Cabela's Outdoorsman Series 5,000W/4,000W RV-Ready Dual-Fuel Portable Generator with Electric Start SKU 2951861 brand new from Cabela's and it didn't work properly. I followed the instructions by putting the oil in, hooking up the battery and using two different brand new propane tanks. The display would not work and it couldn't take a single load, just kept shutting off. The generator has a 3 year warranty so I tried to exchange for another one and Cabela's said since it's been over 60 days I have to go through Corporate. I called Corporate and they told me to call Champion. I Shouldn't have to jump through all these extra hoops especially since the 60 day policy is not printed anywhere on the receipt.
