My brother and I regularly visit Culver’s, whether it’s this Acworth location, the one in Rockmart, or the other one down 92. Unfortunately, this Acworth location consistently falls short, especially when it comes to preparing the fish sandwich and yesterday's encounter with a rude girl in the drive thru pushed me to write this review.
The only recurring issue is I constantly receive a fish strip instead of a proper fish filet. This has happened at least five or six times and only at this location, regardless of whether I go inside or use the drive thru. One time I tried to work around the issue so I ordered an extra filet and that’s when they finally gave me some full filets and it was too much fish. It’s like I can’t win but only this location.
Yesterday, I went through the drive thru for dinner and received the smallest piece of fish I’ve ever seen. Honestly, you’d have to be completely checked out to think that was acceptable to serve. Just look at the picture, it speaks for itself.
To make matters worse, I had a frustrating interaction with an employee at the window who tried to charge me for a sauce I asked for. I had already paid for two sauces unknowingly, and I simply wanted one more, just an extra sauce. She hadn’t returned my card yet and was clearly going to sneak in another charge. When I questioned it, she froze, confused as to why I’d expect a sauce to come with a $13 meal. News flash: when I pay over $13 for a regular meal, I don’t expect to pay extra for sauce, especially at Culvers. I’ve never once been asked to pay for sauce at any location, ever.
She told me she didn’t want to get yelled at. That’s a deeper issue. No employee should be getting yelled at over a sauce, and no manager should create that kind of fear in their staff. If I ever come back and this happens again, I’ll let them make the food, then ask for a full refund on principle.
Also, how is it fair that I get charged to add a tomato but get no credit when I remove cheese? And when I do get the tomato I’m charged for, it’s a single slice that doesn’t even cover the sandwich, just a side. The lettuce was also pathetic.
And now you want to charge for sauces too? Supposedly because they're "so big"? Then make them smaller if that's really the issue. Charging for sauces is exactly the kind of nonsense that will push loyal customers away. I can go to CFA and get a whole sack of sauce with a smile and a “my pleasure.” At Culvers, I get an argument, an attempted upcharge, and no manager willing to step in and explain anything. Why would anyone want to work for a manager like that, or support a location with that attitude?
Oh, and by the way, the sweet tea I got from the drive thru yesterday was awful. I had to walk inside just to swap it out, thankfully I took a sip before driving off.
I probably won't be back to this location, what an awful experience and how would some person think a fish strip is suitable on a such a...
Read moreI loved this Culver's 100%. I came here ar least once every week or once every 1.5 weeks. Butterburgers are yummy, the restaurant was clean and they always had low volume normal music on.
Fast forward to 5 days ago. I sit in my normL spot and I can't hear my partner. There is extremely loud music with a preacher over the speakerphone. They were pushing religious music blasting at 10x. I have never ever heard this in this location, Culver's is not a Christian restaurant and do not advertise as such.
I dont understand why Christian religious beliefs have to be shoved down someone's throat while peacefully eating a restaurant. What if I'm not a Christian? I could belong to one of the million religions in the world and I don't need to be listening to a preacher in a fast food restaurant like literally RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.
I asked an employee why they had Christian music, a preacher, and why it was soooo LOUD. Look I live in the South and I know what places like Chick Fil A and Cookout are all about. However they keep their music to merely a background noise and I have never ever heard someone preaching over a speakerphone in my life.
You know what the employees did upon me complaining about their highly innapropiate preaching and music? They raised the volume even LOUDER to the point where you could not hear anything except the music and preaching. It was ridiculous. It's 2025. Respect other peoples beliefs!!
I asked why they had made it louder. I was told by the "manager" there who happened to be the person I asked and she said they were under the instructions of the District Manager of that Culvers to play that music and preaching. He said effective that day apparently.
Yet she offered the worst explanation on why they turned it up louder. That it was a radio system that had two buttons and that she had been trying to lower the volume but instead she made it louder by accident and apparently she was too technologically challenged to know how to lower the volume.
I will never visit this location ever in my life again, you ruined the restaurant for me, you're employees are entitled religious people who feel superior to others, and if you're Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, or any other religion, they're going to shove Christian preaching down your throat whether you like it or not
It's not about the music. It's about the lack of basic human respect and the entitlement and rudeness from the employees because they feel superior because...
Read moreMe and my co-workers eat here daily. We loved the customer service and they are the best fast food restaurant you can eat at. Here lately our orders would be wrong. The first 2 times we dealt with it and didn't make to much fuss. We understand the short staffing and its always busy so we chalked it up. The third time we decided to call because they forgot a soup and we had to drive back to get it and we were even offered coupons for our time. That's 10 min there back to work then 10 min back again and then back. Then last Thursday we went and ordered thru the drive thru and they got our orders wrong. They came out and switched out numbers and then they came out with a totally different order. They messed up our sundaes and a value basket. It was suppose to be a regular chicken sandwich with onion rings. Onion rings are a upcharge remember that. We get back and it was a spicy chicken sandwich with no onion rings. We called up there and talked to Pam and she said we could come back and get what was wrong and we told her that was not going to work since we were super busy and that we could try to come Friday but most likely be Monday. She said that was fine and she would comp the chicken sandwich order with onion rings and both sundaes. We went in today Monday 12/13/21 and talked to the manager Skip and he told us he could not do that. Talked about how we don't have the white copy of the receipt. We never ever get a white copy just a pink copy which apparently is not right we have to get the white copy. First he had to call Pam since she was off and wasn't there. She didn't let anyone know we would be coming today. They fixed our sundaes but only gave us a chicken sandwich. Not even a value basket just the sandwich. One of the reasons I am leaving this review because if this was a different location they would of helped us and not cheated us. Skip acted and even said they had a lot of thieves and trying to get free food. That left a bad taste in our mouth. We would never try to get anything for free. We know how retail works and would never do that. Like I said we usually always eat here everyday for lunch but I think we need to take a break until Culvers in Acworth can figure out how to fix this "thief" problem since apparently its happening and it's not the employees not caring and just messing up.
Thank you. Not trying to get anyone not to go there but this is not the...
