Purchased a 71,000.00 Ranger Reata 223F pontoon, had 14,000.00 roughly in parts that should had been installed which was a Ghost Trolling motor, 4 Lowrance Elite FS 9's and 4 31 AGM batters, 3 for the Ghost Trolling motor and 1 for the 4 Elite FS 9's... Bow the head Boat expert removed the 3 31 AGM battery's which are around $420.00 each give a bit and added 3 $150.00 Battery's all without one phone call to me or my wife, his statement was they was not Trolling motor battery's which the website at interstate clearly states there deepcycle and are for cranking or Trolling motors. when I asked about a refund for the remaining value of the battery's I was told by Jesse there would be one and at the end of the day I was ripped off with no refund at all, I was being told they kept needed to add wires, ties, connecters, and breakers which was only 2 breakers and the refund should had been over $1000.00 but at the end of the day they found ways to keep saying this and that was added until I guess there was no refund, I was told 22 hours of labor which I paid in full along with all parts and the boat before the work was done..., Bow was told I wanted all 4 Elite FS 9's to be networked and NMEA 2000 together and to the Ghost trolling motor, when all was done only the Bow Elite fs 9 was connected that way and the rest networked, there is one at the back he placed the Transducer to instead of it being at the console making it to where you must have the back FS 9 running to even read at the console, he also did not link all 4 Elite FS 9's to the one battery instead linked 3 to the one 31 AGM battery and the back FS 9 which is at the back of the boat to the cranking battery, I asked them all to be on the one 31 AGM battery, he said he did it as a backup which I think was just a lazy way around, the correct way all Elite FS9's should had been connected to the 1 31 AGM battery, Networked and NMEA 2000 together and to the Ghost trolling motor like I asked him to do, now I had to replace a fuse on the main breaker to the cranking battery that he wired wrong because it blowed the fuse, there was 22 hours of work and it took them exactly 2 weeks to complete it and over half of it was wrong and now I am going to be out more money taking it to a real professional to fix the mistakes..... The Manager's are nothing but a complete Joke and will not do anything about any of these thing's. If your buying a boat in there boating area and need nothing added maybe its ok but if your going to put money into a boat and have addon's added I would Highly recommand to never use this company, the worst part is I was told the hold up on some of it was a worker that was so bad they had to fire and call the cops on this person, my question is why was they working there in the first place if they was giving these types of problems.... I would never tell anyone to use this company and would tell them if I did it over again I would drive 20 hours for a Ranger if I had to in order to keep from using them.... Every one has there thoughts and this one is mine and I hope it can help someone not go through what I went through with Cabela's in...
Read moreThere are three words you need to know as soon as you walk in the door NO THANK YOU. You will need to to continue to use these three words throughout your entire visit if you speak with an employee because they push their credit card with everything they have and I think we all know a credit card is not your friend. And don’t start telling me about points you earn. In June, we attended an event here, and I ended up writing a letter to one of the managers Mr. Robert Lionetti, just telling him how we enjoyed our time but the event was not well organized. He returned my email with a thank you and the offer to send me a gift card. I had asked for nothing. A few weeks later there was still no gift card so I emailed and relayed that information. Crickets. A few weeks later I called and left Mr. Lionetti a voicemail. Still crickets. Another few weeks and another and the same thing. Crickets. I then called yet again and spoke with Gilda who made me feel like a valued customer and promised me I’d receive a call within four days. Guess what? Crickets. Fast forward and my kids get their father a Cabela’s gift card. Well at this point I’m just not wanting to spend a dime at the store but we do want to use the gift card my husband had received so we drive up. It’s now September. I tell my husband I’m getting that gift card that was promised me and it’s just for the principle of the matter now. We walk in and I ask for Mr. Lionetti, who by an act of God is there. He comes down and asked me for a reminder, which, as you can imagine, I certainly have. He turns to a lady who approached with him and says it must have gotten lost in the mail, which I definitely know could’ve happened, but a return phone call would’ve been nice and I did let him know this. Lis took care of the gift card for me and I suspect she’s the Gift Card Distributor. So why did they not send my phone calls and inquiries to her to begin?. Other than this our interaction in the store and with the cashier was excellent after we got passed another group trying to stop us for some travel offers. They have. The store as well stocked and it’s fun to be in for the most part. In my opinion, they’re such a large retail that people with matters like mine aren’t important because they know they’ve got...
Read moreVery Disappointed with the customer service at Cabela's Acworth, Georgia My father who is an old Asian American (legal immigrant) really wanted A300 patrol and I helped order the gun online. I went there last week with him to help him get the gun but because his id address was not the same as the emailed order, we couldn't get the gun which we totally understand. But at that time the sales clerk was extremely helpful. He advised us what we need very politely and very friendly. Today my father went there again after he changed address on his id (we recently moved). The sales clerk was not so friendly. Since my father is 80 years old and have a bit difficulty in filling up the form, my brother was there to help out. But the clerk didn't allow my brother to help. And he told my father that he filled up the form wrong, so, he cannot buy the gun. And refunded the money. We have to drive about an hour to get the gun. He doesn't have any criminal records that will prevent him from buying. He used to hunt with shot gun back in Burma and he really wanted to get a nice shot gun for souvenir. The whole family felt like this is a discrimination because we are Asian. This should not have happened anymore in the United States. He just needed assistance to make sure he understands all the forms that he needed to fill up. Please look into it. If he is illegally trying to purchase a gun, it is understandable. But he is an American citizen who has a bit of difficulty to fill the form by his own!!! Just needed assistance. Very very disappointed! He was a retired Christian minister and he just smiled and told me we will get it from another place. But I can see it in his smile that he is very disappointed about how the store clerk treated him. Very sad. My brother couldn't even ask the clerk what my father filled up wrong to get rejected. Is America still living...
