The Hidden Gem Tattoo — Local services in Airway Heights

Hidden gem seems like the perfect name for this Tattoo shop seeing how i didn't even know of its existence. A friend of mine got work done here by Renae and I couldn't believe the line work and detail. I immediately booked an appointment. Make sure to book in advance because apparently everyone else has seen the quality of work coming from this shop so it will be about a month th before you get it, but it is completely worth the wait.

I came in with a stack of photos for an idea and zero creative design lol. I have an entire sleeve done by another artist and love the work so trying someone completely new is a bit daunting especially when asking them to do an entire sleeve in one session. Renae blew my mind however. Not only did she already have an idea of what to do, she even accepted my last minute changes and 1 completely added piece. The final result was amazing. Again, the thin line work and detail was well beyond what I even expected and she was able to tie all my ideas cohesively together into one flowing piece, something I myself was unable to do.

While getting the work done, I had the pleasure of speaking with her husband Anthony who also works in the shop. He showed me some of his work which appeared to nail that realism look. Basically if you have a photo, then that will be identical to what you get. He's got a real eye for it and has some amazing skill as well. Not sure you could go wrong with having either of these two tattoo you.

Final note of this novel... the hidden gem is absolutely not what you would come to expect in an Airway Hieghts tattoo shop. The professionalism and quality surpassed all my expectations. They have countless customers that are first responders and military so ypu know they must do great work. Try it out of you're hunting for a shop, you will not be...

I can't put into words. How impressed I am by The Hidden Gem! I went from having random tattoos here and there on my arm to a badass sleeve done by Rena. Her and her husband Anthony right from the start made me feel like I was there #1 priority from setting up the appointment. Going over what I was looking to do. She took her time. Let me ask any kind of questions I needed to didn't matter how many people were sitting in the shop. She definitely takes her time and puts 100% effort into everything she does. And I can't say enough about her husband Anthony. Also me and him become really good friends. I enjoy going to this tattoo shop that make you feel like family instead of friends. Both are very professional. If you are looking for a forever tattoo shop you have definitely found it at The Hidden Gem 💯!!! This picture a cover up she did and also adding in designs to go around a few of my older tats. I was extremely blown away when I got out the chair and saw my sleeve completed. Also it's very rare that you come into contact with people that are very down to earth and feel comfortable talking to and I definitely found it here. Her husband Anthony sat in the room with us for 8 hours just me and him talking about everything. Like I said I can't say enough great things about the shop and Rena and Anthony!!! Today i went to the Friday the 13th flash tattoos sale and was extremely disappointed. Firstly they had posted their flash sheet on the instagram feed a while ago and they reposted it to the story yesterday telling us fcfs, doors OPEN at 10 am bring id. I showed up at 10 am on the dot with about 60 people in front of me. We all waited there for an hour and they did not start tattooing or allowing anyone in until 11am. After another hour of waiting outside in the heat someone from the front said it is cash only. This should have been posted on the instagram story with the other information they provided. A few people in front of me left because of it, luckily a girl gave me her extra cash and i venmo’d her. I finally got to the front and the girl in front of me informed me that on the window it showed the designs and that there was extra ones and she had to change her design. I went to go look after being in line for FOUR hours. Not one worker or staff informed us to look at the board or that it was cash only. The four designs i picked out were NOT on the board so after waiting for four hours i left because i didn’t want to randomly choose a design five minutes before hand. I am so disappointed in the lack of communication from the artists and owners and will no longer be going to them after 2 years of working with them for three separate tattoos which is disappointing because usually the...
