ALDI — Local services in Alabaster

As of 6/4/23: Aldi now has added one self checkout. If you plan to get a lot of groceries then grab two buggies to make it work for you. I have noticed the lines growing, but sometimes, someone will open another register. Cashiers still have wonderful attitudes. They continue to add great items at great prices. If you have not checked out the aisle with shoes, candles, clothing, kitchen items, etc, please do. I found some very decent shoes for a very inexpensive price and still great quality. Check out the pictures of my wonderful produce purchased. Their stores are always clean.

I was overcharged for an item and found this when reviewing my receipt. When I brought this to the check out clerks attention she did not believe me and said I just looked at the sign wrong. I walked back and verified the sign. The clerk did not believe me and went and looked. She asked the Manager to handle the refund. The manager made a mistake in computing the refund. While she was doing this again I mentioned that I had recently been overcharged three times. She very defensively responded that they did not overcharge me but that they had an error in posting the item price. Very poor customer handling image created. Check your receipts folks! I wish I would've heard about Aldi's earlier. I could've saved so much money. Just going twice has saved me about $50. I'm on a tight budget. And even Wal-Mart is pricey. And, I don't mind the quarter for the buggy rental. You get it back anyway. I shopped for Thanksgiving. And, I'm going to go to Aldi's to buy food for Christmas. I'm getting gifts for my family and saving $20-$30 makes a huge difference in the number and price of these presents. I wish we had an Aldi's here. But, the 20-25 minute drive is worth it.
