So then I called Davids and they said to bring the rings in when I'm in Anchorage and they would ship them back to me when they were done.

We live in Juneau and had a so-so experience with our local jeweler that left us searching for someone within the state to create a custom engagement ring and wedding band from family stones. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted and were able to email pictures to Sean and Vern who were both wonderful and responsive. Our plans to travel up to get the rings left them with 15 days to complete the set and they knocked it out of the park! Sean sent us pictures of the wax molds and they were perfect, he really got into our heads to deliver exactly what we wanted. He stayed late the day before we wanted to pick them up and called us to let us know they were done. We walked into the shop for the first time, because we had mailed the original rings up and only communicated by email and phone, where we were greeted very kindly; they recognized my voice! When they brought out my rings I made a series of ridiculous, gleeful noises because they were sooooo perfect I couldn't even believe my eyes, my fiancé was beaming because they are even more spot-on than he could have imagined! We believe we got a really fair and reasonable price on the custom set, a mere fraction of what we were quoted by the folks here in Juneau. They bought the old settings at scrap prices so that was easy. We were really comfortable in the shop and enjoyed chatting with all of the staff. My fiancé ended up picking out his band after about 5 minutes of looking, that's on order from the manufacturer and will be engraved before they send it down to us. Overall seriously quality people and product. Very knowledgeable and helpful for those of us who don't know very much about jewelry. Definitely have already recommended them to recently engaged...

deborah was very helpful and approachable, and looked out for me all throughout our encounter. i came in to get my ring resized and she was very adamant on making sure it would be available soon and guaranteed that she’d let me know whenever it was ready for pickup whenever the next jeweler was available. not too shortly after leaving, i received a text stating that it was already available for me to pick up which i thought was pretty quick considering i had just dropped it off maybe not even 20-30 minutes ago. when i came back into the store she had let me know that she went out of her way to get my ring resized before the end of the business day before the jeweler left. overall i was very satisfied with my experience here as i was greeted with smiling faces from the staff and a helpful hand. in such a short time i received a 10/10 experience and i definitely will be coming back for my next...
