From the website i thought they make their own flavored batches of icecream but This is basically just a coldstone. They mix in different things into the plain icecream in front of you. It was a little confusing to understand. Noone explains how it works. There should be a sign or something to explain the steps.There was a man that was going around in the back just lifting up the ice cream sections and stirring and moving stuff around. I wasnt sure if he was a customer or manager or owner, he just looked like a regular person back there touching things after walking in off the street. He didn't have a marble slab shirt or anything on. Or a nametag. I thought it was weird he was just messing w the food and things without washing his hands or anything or putting on gloves. I was standing right there with the employee trying to order my I've cream and he was just coming around lifting up dipping in stuff. He didn't say anything or apologize or anything. The process of getting ice cream here is too confusing for me and if they're not making their own flavors the way it seems on the website then i don't see the point of going through all that extra work just for a taste you cant guarantee. I got the strawberry cheesecake and it was supposedly cheesecake flavored ice cream but it didn't have much flavor or sugar and then the strawberries were frozen so it was a little awkward to eat biting into large frozen strawberries and then the cheesecake crust part was just animal crackers so it did not that brown sugar graham cracker crust like you usually would have in a strawberry cheesecake ice cream when I looked on the website it looked like the strawberry cheesecake ice cream was already combined and have the graham cracker crust swirls I think I will just stick with the store brand or Baskin Robbins. Ordered online for pick up. Selected ice cream flavor “dark chocolate” with mixing that I know are Gluten Free. Picked up the order and began eating it. A few bites in I can across a crunch that wasn’t consistent with what I ordered. Turned on the light in the car to notice a big chunk of Oreo cookies in my ice cream bowl. I went inside to ask if they put Oreos in my order and they said “yes, the only dark chocolate ice cream they have right now contains Oreos so that’s what they used” I explained that I cannot have gluten and will now be very sick on account of them placing a common allergen into an order that wasn’t ordered that way. They asked what I wanted and I said to at least be refunded for the bowl they watched me throw away and requested that they do not make substitutions to items with allergens without checking with customers first. I explained that this is going to make me very sick, but there are people that could be put in the hospital for mishaps like this. Dominick said he’d let the management know of my concerns and refunded me for one bowl that was messed up. He wanted to refund me for both bowls ordered but the other shift lead Selena encouraged him not to because the boss would be mad. Writing this review to let the boss know that their employees need training on allergens, how to make proper substitutions, and how to make it right for customer retention. I may have considered returning to the store with the mishap but only while watching them make my food and being very sure they were aware of allergens… but after the comment about management being mad that put the cherry on top for me. My experience going into the slab was very bad, it seemed as if they were afraid of me and they were being very discriminating towards me the one girl there couldn't even talk to me without shaking and stumbling her words it made my experience there feel very awkward and unpleasant. After taking everyone's order they asked me what I wanted and made me pay and leave as fast as possible and I was at the back of a long line, when I got to the register the girl says "at least it matches you" I ordered the original size cookies and cream milkshake. Not to mention I just got off work so I had grease all over my clothes and I work at a tire shop and its tire season so I work very hard and in very dirty conditions so it seemed like an insult. This is the second time I've been treated like this and it continues to be the same every time so far.
