Went there with my wife to look for some ice skates. One of the employees came over to help us and seemed to be very knowledgeable about the skates and sizes/brands/styles...etc. He did not have anything in my size (I do have big feet so not a surprise to me) However, he said the same about my wife who is a perfectly normal shoe size...nothing in stock despite there being hundreds of skates all around us. Note, we were looking at the entry level beginner skates and pricing. My wife asked if they had a pair in her size of the next level up skates. The guy helping us said, VERY sarcastically...."you want to try on a pair of $250 skates??" As if we are white trash unable to afford such a luxury....Annoyed I said, well she wants to get an idea of her true size in case she finds something on facebook...obviously you have nothing here is stock for her. The guy replied again, "You want me to do all the work so you can go buy them somewhere else? Ok..." and he walked away. We ourselves walked in and were greeted with smiles, no words, we asked a question and were pointed in the direction of similar items. They didn't carry what we were looking for in particular, but that's Alaska. Another person stated he'd show us where the items were. And he did. Then he walked away. We found what we needed and asked another associate for assistance getting items from up high, 1and he brought a ladder and left it there after he gave us the wrong size and walked away. Well 5 minutes went by I was walking around and seen that young worker, he said the south store didn't have any. I could tell by his facial expression that was a fib! Soo I decided to go to the south side store and there was ice skates in my 5 yr old size. I was like hummk... well the midtown Play it again sports had reasonable prices for their skates. $14 & up.
