I wanted to like this place, but the experience didn’t make that possible.
Pho Nho is a fast-casual Vietnamese restaurant in Albuquerque. The wait time for the food was unusually long, especially given we only ordered one 6” Bánh mì apiece. There were five employees for five tables, so staffing wasn’t an issue.
The Bánh mì we got were the “shredded pork with skin” option. There was less than 1 tablespoon of shredded pork per sandwich. At first, I asked the server if they had dropped off the wrong sandwiches because the only part visible was a slice of lunch meat. I’ve never seen that on a Bánh mì before. He opened the sandwich and pointed to the remnants of a tiny bit of pork, which I still didn’t see until he had gone. It was such a small quantity I thought it was a condiment spread on the bread instead of the featured ingredient. The quality was low quality as well; I’ve actually made better Bánh mì at home, and I’m a terrible cook when it comes to Asian food. I felt like I had been hoodwinked with a menu that had false advertising. If you’re going to give me a lunch meat sandwich, just list that.
After dropping off our food, we didn’t have anyone check on us for the entirety of the meal, then went up front to close our check. I ran out of water since no one filled it, but by that point I just wanted to go.
With the slow service, bad service, poor quality of ingredients, and feeling like I they pulled a bait-and-switch on me with the ingredients, I can’t give any more than 1 star for this...
Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE UPDATE: Went in with my family once again on 4/16/25 for dinner to give it another chance, we accepted the free meal offered by the owner for posting the original review. The gentlemen and younger girl waiters did not know what they were doing my kids and I did not get any drink refills the whole time we were eating dinner. For someone who puts a lot of chili oil in her pho, I am very upset about not getting any refills we didn't even get asked if we needed anything else. Once we were served our food it was like we did not exist. I'm not sure if it's because we're Hispanic, but I do not like this place due to its horrible customer service and also it being dirty, the salt shakers and chili oil containers at all tables are filthy and seem like they have not been cleaned ever, there is so much gunk on them.
(ORIGINAL REVIEW) Horrible customer service. They said they were closed for dine-in that we could order to go, looked at the menu for three minutes, then went up to order, and they then said we couldn't order what in the world!!!...
Read moreI've visited this location twice. The first time was phenomenal, we were seated and served quickly, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, our second visit didn’t go as well. While our server was friendly, the coffee I ordered again was bitter and bland. We arrived around 11, sat down, reviewed the menu, and placed our drink and food order. We received our appetizers, but our main dishes never came. Other guests who arrived after us were served before us. When we asked about our food, the server simply said, "I don't know why the cook made theirs first, sorry about that." At that point, I asked for the check and we left. We live on the east side where there are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants, and this experience was disappointing. To add to that, it seemed a staff member came in visibly upset and started crying in front of the dining area. One server was left handling multiple tables while the other tried to comfort her, which understandably impacted service. It wasn't very busy, but I can see this being a major issue...
