Had my ring sent off for cleaning and didn’t hear anything for over a month. It was around Christmas time so I figured it was possibly taking alittle bit longer due to the holidays.
I did end up calling in and they said they had my ring in for weeks now and tried calling but it seemed like an incorrect number. My husband and I both have gotten our jewelry here for 5 years now and have never changed our numbers. When I showed up, Chelsea couldn’t find my account anymore and said my phone was linked under someone else’s name (Alex) that lives in a different state. Mistakes happen but was very taken aback with the comment that they verify the number to customers before hand “but people don’t always listen” and also the fact that they knew it was an incorrect number due to the call not going through but not calling my husband who possibly is the only one that has an account with them now. Chelsea did say at the end that they must’ve typed the number in wrong when asking for the contact. Mistakes happen but was handled unprofessionally and very dismissive.

My husband surprised me with a custom piece for our Anniversary. He went to many other jewelry stores to try and get something custom and unique and all the other places kept pushing him to purchase the plain Jane pieces they already had in their cases. He refused. Kay Jewelers went above and beyond They shut the store down to focus on him and his custom piece, the diamonds, design of rings and even did all the work right in store. My husband documented everything and gave it to me in an album for our anniversary with his thoughts behind why he picked what he did and the meaning. One of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received. ❤️ He has bought me more gifts since then and we have received nothing but amazing service every time we walk in purchasing or not. Read moreI was in the store the other day and I kept having to go get the woman "helping" me, Michaela, again and again to show me some rings I was interested in, because every chance she could she would walk away from me, every item I asked about seeing she acted like it was such a huge burden to open a little door and hand me a ring, and almost didn't want to hand them to me, she'd just show it to me and then start talking about something, she was very rude the whole time and as a loyal customer who comes to Kay's for all my jewelry needs I feel very disgusted with the quality of service I received and definitely will NOT be coming back to this store, I'll take my business to a Kay's in a different city or to a different jeweler with some sense of proper...
