Honestly these low reviews are pathetic. This place is what it is. Planet Fitness, a gym, membership fees are low, but yet people expect 5 star hotel concierge service. This place does more than enough for $25 a month. And that’s technically the PRIMO membership. Staff are chill and accommodating, and the place is clean. What more do you want for $25 a month, if you’re still complaining it’s cause you’re broke and you can’t afford any better, let’s be honest.
Forgot to cancel your membership because of a surgery? Too bad bro, should’ve canceled it before you went into surgery. 1 star for you for lack of foresight. Don’t need to be a astrophysicist to figure it out.
Some of the stair masters don’t work? Ok the tell the staff, but I’m sure they’ve heard it a 1000 times. Maintenance is a process don’t leave a low star review for it. Get over yourself. I guarantee one of your dining table legs has a book under it that’s been there for the past 5 years.
Cars being broken into? Congratulations, it was unfortunate you became todays victim of unfortunate things, but how is planet fitness to blame for this. Could they have parking lot security? Sure. But guess what, you’re car would’ve still most likely get broken into. Do you know how many places have parking security and still theft happens. Security people are not levitating Demi-gods that can be everywhere at once. You could have easily parked your car down the street and it would’ve still got broken into, what are you going to do? Knock on the door to a private residence and be like why don’t you have security? Hardly an excuse to leave a bad review. How about you just invest in a good anti theft device instead of blaming everyone else. Don’t know how? It’s 2022 you’re a big kid now, google it.
Showers don’t have soap? Ok so bring your own soap ffs. You can buy a six pack of Dove Soap bars for $8 that will last you the entire year. You’re gonna drag down the credibility of a business because they just happened to run out of soap the one or two times you decided to shower? You know what just go home and use your own shower you’re probably out of soap there too.
You wanna pay with your daddy’s card, but they won’t accept? Good lord man. If I haven’t heard anything more pathetic in my life. How about you just wait until you get your card and then come back, you know like what a person with common sense would do.
You don’t meet the dress code? Ok go outside fix yourself and then come back in. What are you 12? Look at yourself “I can’t beleev I wear jean then they tell me no jean”. Ok? So don’t wear jeans genius, it’s not hard. Plus who works out in jeans bro are you serious.
If you want the staff to suck your toes, hand you money, and rub honey all over your thighs. I highly suggest you go to a gym with a $175+++ monthly fee. Then you will actually have a somewhat decent but still pathetic reason to whine and cry and leave a bad review because you met the tiniest inconvenience. For $25 a month in this day and age, PF offers way more than we deserve let’s...
Read moreFor a gym that prides itself on being “non intimidating,” their manager sure can make you feel uncomfortable. Times have changed and maybe before you would have to go in person to cancel. Nowadays, it is required by law in California to allow cancellation of subscriptions in convenient, non obstructive ways. The sign on agreement of this place even tells you that you can email or send a letter to cancel. Tried to call the gym to figure out the best way to cancel my membership without having to come in person because I have a life with responsibilities. I don’t have time to come in and listen to the staff try to upsell me when I’m juggling work, a child, and bills on a daily basis. Managed to cancel my membership online (it is possible folks) and left feedback on the male manager and receptionist who was extremely hostile and unprofessional despite me being as patient as I can. The manager proceeded to hound me on my phone. 4 calls. 3 of which I ignored but this man seriously could not take a hint. I tried speaking to the manager at first but I was met with “he’s in the bathroom so he can’t come to the phone.” I asked when was the best time to call back or if I could wait to speak with him. Receptionist goes “no you can’t talk to him because I said so.” Okay…??? I took matters into my own hands and cancelled my membership myself. Only then was the manager available to chat. 3 short minutes after I received the confirmation email of my cancellation, the manager was magically back in his office.
I was harassed over the phone and lowkey threatened: I was told that if I don’t come in, they will continue to charge me. I told them that I have proof of my cancellation and that I will dispute any unauthorized charge that comes my way. The manager goes “if you stop talking, I will tell you why you have to come in” which is crazy because no, I don’t need to come in. The problem has been resolved. Why are you wasting your time and breath trying to upsell me on something I don’t even pay for anymore. He honestly could be using his time better by addressing the lack of cleanliness, the mustiness of the air, and the multiple machines wrapped in caution...
Read moreI can't believe it has been this long but I actually went to Planet Fitness about 5 years ago. And I always have a high opinion of this location. I know it is not like the others, it's a beginner's gym. But it is a great environment to work out. Prior to the pandemic they always kept this place in Tip-Top shape and cleaning every part of the gym. Present day today, its still tip top shape.
Anyway right now the gym is open 24 hours, Lockers and showers are available at 50% capacity. For anyone who's worried about the pandemic people are required to wear facial mask and be physically distant. If cleanliness is a deal-breaker for you, this is a gym for you. Planet Fitness has always maintained availability of paper towels and cleaning sprays to wipe down any and every equipment. Which makes this gym a no brainer.
On top of that the staff makes sure the cleaning supplies are aways available and fully stocked.
Tip 1: if you are going to apply a new membership account with them. Be sure to bring a check stub, or the routing number of your bank as well as your account number. So they can set up your account as well as a working and present current debit card.
Tip 2. They are currently not accepting any paper currency and or coin currency.
Tip 3. They currently also have a policy that you cannot bring any outside equipment, such as yoga mats, exercise equipment, etc. And no bags on the floor.
Tip 4. No weight scale
Tip 5. Water fountains available only to refill bottles.
Tip 6. You can use the PF app to upload your membership QR code. For a faster result I suggest screen shot or qr-code oh, and put your phone on highest brightness setting. This will still work.
Tip 7. Parking is located in back of Plaza which is in front of the entrance a Planet Fitness. Parking...
