Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Allegheny Township

I had quite an interesting experience this evening. Went in with the wife to look for something so we ended up heading in different directions and I was just trudging down one of the main aisles wishing I was home and this tiny, cute little girl comes out from a side aisle with both hands full and she stops suddenly and just looks at me and freezes. For those that don't know me I am a fair sized guy of a little over 6' and 300 lbs so I understand how I may have looked to her so I stopped too. After a short silence she says " Don't chase me" with a serious face so I smiled slightly and said in my friendliest voice " I won't " and she took off to where she came from and I got a little chuckle from it and headed sharply right, away from her because I didn't want to scare her. My wife and I meet up again right after and as we're walking the same little girl pops out again and again freezes and looks at me very seriously. We stopped also and suddenly she says loudly " Don't chase me anymore !" 🤯 All of a sudden I'm thinking that this isn't funny or cute anymore....afterall, what if someone heard her say that and come charging around the corner with pepper spray in one hand and a friggin taser in the other ?! My wife looked at me and asked what she said and I was like let's get outta here....funny and scary at the same time....

1st time at Ollie's in leechburg. 1st time in an ollies. Was not impressed. Reminded me of a roses store or a big lots. Good experience though Liked going up and down rows to see merchandise. I thought prices were fair or good as compared to Walmart where I shop a lot Will go back again Wish there were some scooters for disabled people like me to use Roses has a few scooters Big lots does not. But overall visit was good Will be back Will check out local Ollie's in Monroeville I did buy a few items Less than 10 items Which is a good thing for my budget 🤔 😅 🙂 😀 😄 🙃 🤔 The store was neat and orderly Bathroom clean and well stocked A sign on door said to be careful of wet floors because they were just cleaned Ty 4 precautions about customers safety in bathrooms There were a few stockers or clerks on the work floor so that was good if I needed to ask a question They even smiled at me when we made eye contact Checkout was quick No waiting in line 1 friendly and helpful female cashier Applied for an Ollie's key chain card and regular card for my purse Ty 4 presenting a clean and organized store in my local community I will be back soon Thank you for the helpful and happy and hard working devoted...

Edit: The previously mentioned issue seems to have been fixed since my last review. Back to 5 stars!

Glad that Ollie's has joined our town. The store has a lot of really neat finds, from essentials to knick knacks to books and everything in between. Most things are a great price, but do watch out because they do have items that are cheaper elsewhere. The employees are friendly and always appear to be working hard, though I will say that they're a little intense about asking if we need help. It's a browsing store, not so much an employee question store. They're still very nice; I just find the frequency at which I'm asked if I need help to be a bit much.

Edit: I have temporarily lowered my rating because there is a VERY strong cat pee odor immediately upon walking...
