My computer froze up on me and my whole world went cashing around me. I was fit to be tied. I'm a writer, or at least that's what I tell myself, and my computer held all my years of work, books, pictures... everything.
My daughter recommended I take my computer in to Rodi's. I called his shop and got directions and brought my old computer in. Right away, I was impressed as I entered the shop. The establishment was clean and well organized.
Instantly, I was greeted by Rodi with a smile and I began to explain my problems. Rodi, right away hooked up my computer and he knew instantly where the problem lied. I had a virus. I was shocked. I knew the computer had issues. It was more than slow, it crashed everyday and a nagging bright yellow pop-up kept wiggling it's sneaky way up the screen, reading, "Your computer may be at risk". Of course, I ignored the stupid sign.
I left my computer in the hands of Rodi. My life. But before I left, I paid him a very fair price and he installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus at a much lower price. I was afraid to mention this little oversight in fear he might've under charged me. But I was delighted to discover that he charged me his discounted price. I was thrill and sold and very relieved of embarrassment.
Two days later, I returned to pick up my computer and Rodi went into details about the problems. I ended up having more viruses than memory in my computer... 600 virus. I thought to myself that I needed to stop taunting the scammers on messenger. A little hobby when I'm not writing.
I really liked Rodi. He took time explaining things about my computer that blew me into a further left field. I mostly stay in left field when it came to the technical side of computers. Not only did Rodi know his ends and outs, he was kind and I could see his passion and pride in his work. The shop shined and costumer service was right on spot.
Robi's computer service is more than professional. He's personal and gets right to the problem. How many times have you been to Fry's or Best Buy and spoke to a tech that couldn't have been less interested in selling you a computer or something as little as a pen. I can remember going into those stores and having to tackle down a tech. And they never remember your face or name. I didn't have that problem with Rodi.
When I took my computer home, I fretted a bit because I wasn't sure what cord went where. I had more cords than wrinkles. Somehow, I managed to put it all together and booted it up. In a matter of minutes, the old thing was up and running like a charm. I felt like I had a brand new computer. My Microsoft 7 was working like a pro. Something I hadn't seen in years.
I learned two fine lessons here. Whenever my computer breaks down or I want to buy a new one, I'm going to Rodi Computer Service. The second lesson I learned, stay...
Read moreI have been here not once but on 3 different occasions and let me tell you how things went. The first time I went was because my sister had purchased a new laptop that came with Windows 8 this was shortly aftter all PC's started being sold with Win 8. She hated as most people do not really user friendly and actually more created for touch screen PPC's. I asked the Tech who is usually their (he has a pretty heavy accent) but was fairly nice guy. I told him what I was looking to do which was have Windows XP installed which she likes very much. The Tech suggested a few things like installing Windows 7, an Anti Virus software and transferring all data. The prices he quoted were really fair and I thought great but let me check with my sister. After speaking with here we decided to go ahead with what the Tech had recommended. I went back to speak to him and I am not sure if he did not remember me or what but all of a sudden there was all these other associated fees and the price to do what he quoted me for before like more than doubled so I said I would think about which really I had not intention on paying such an extreme price for that scope of work. The second time was when my wife's Dell laptop got extremely sluggish and was just more of a headache then anything so I thought ok let me give them another chance since the Tech did seem very knowledable about all the technology of up and coming related hardware and software. I went and spoke to him told him what was going on and that I wanted to maybe change the hard rive and install Windows 7 since the XP was no longer supported by Microsoft. He recommended the new Windows out which he said was 8. something or 9 I do not really remember along with a digital drive which would make the outdated laptop faster and then transfer all data back and forth then install the Anti Virus. He quoted me some fair prices I thought but then when it was actually getting to the point of leaving the laptop to have things done I wanted to clarify all the things he was going to do and the price for them. When he started breaking it down all of a sudden once again were all the related addition fees and hell I could just go by another brand new laptop or at least put it towards the majority of the price since there was not much difference. I told him let me think about it. The third time when I went back it was the same thing I thought maybe it was just me so I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and get prices to do the same work but the same thing happened so I ended up leaving buying the parts and software and rebuilding the laptop myself and have not and will...
Read moreI'm going to call out CJ Seejay and Don Dupree as I believe their postings are in violation of Google policy and should be removed. They are fake reviews with the intent of lowering the rating and hurting Rodi. Unlike CJ, who did not respond to Rodi's request to ID himself as a customer, and his false claims of being a "former Marine Corps Veteran" (there's no such thing as a former veteran), I am a 30 year veteran, having served in 3 combat zones and my name tag is on my profile photo. I've known Rodi for years and continue to use his service.
Rodi is 100% American, loyal to his country and has always gone out of his way to support not just veterans, but any customer who walks into his doors. He is a "servant" business owner who puts his customers in front of his own interests. Rodi is the consummate professional who would never belittle a customer or raise his voice. In fact, Rodi has served chai to me when I'm not in a hurry and have had time to visit with him.
As far as his computer service, he is top notch. We've bought computers from him for use at work and at home. There are often times when I've brought computers back to him with issues and he refused to charge me what he should have. He is an expert at his craft, a wonderful businessman and provides value to the community.
I believe that CJ Seejay and Don Dupree are most likely the same person, and one who has a personal vendetta against Rodi. Because of this person's deliberate attempt to smear the reputation of a patriot, I will go out of my way to contact friends (especially veterans) in the Plano/Allen/McKinney area and ask that they start using Rodi for their own computer needs. I'm hopeful that this bad behavior backfires resulting in an increase of Rodi's business.
CJ and Don - If you won't respond to Rodi's request to identify yourself since you are not in his customer database, I invite you to prove me wrong. Otherwise, consumer's can see for themselves. Remove these two postings and Rodi has 17 of 18 five star ratings. That speaks for itself. Well done, Rodi!
Respectfully and very appreciative of Rodi's expertise, customer service, passion and patriotism. You are a great American!
