They have the BEST tacos. The shells are light and crunchy, the taco meat seasoned perfectly, always fresh veggies AND THE CHEESE !!! Taco casa brings out these massive blocks of, what I can only assume is, cheese fit for the gods and grates it by hand resulting in the absolute best cheddar you could possibly hope for piled on your taco. And when I say "piled" I mean they must just grab a handful of cheese and just pack it in there until the taco just can't hold it anymore. This is what makes the taco so good.
Taco Bueno used to be my go to place for tacos (and if you can't tell already, I'm a fan of Mexican food and particularly tacos) but they started skimping out on how much was in the taco right after they raised the price. Not cool bueno. Naturally paying more for a half full taco makes me angry (don't worry, I don't turn Green. I just stop spending money there). Then one day I stopped by Taco Casa and my taco needs where once again fulfilled ten fold.
I will also add that the Super Burrito is fantastic as well. Black olives and sour cream make it one of the best burritos from any fast food place.
The staff is always great. I think they really do understand that they aren't just providing some quick snacks to people passing by, but instead, are providing a great experience. When I'm in the mood for tacos, and I'm not making them myself, I will happily drive 20 minutes to taco casa and load up on tacos. They have them for 99 cents but I will gladly pay $2 per taco. If they were more than that then I would probably still buy them but it would be very rare (like 2x a year tops). I usually go there at least once a month if I'm working in the area but if I haven't been in a while then I'll make a whole adventure out of going to taco casa.
Alright, this has definitely been...
Read moreI have been coming to this location for years, it was always great food and service until the previous owner sold the location.
Since then the quality and customer service has been abysmal as seen in multiple reviews. I decided to write to Taco Casa corporate about my complaints and received a curt response saying I was welcome to never return. And as an icing on the cake the owner blamed the residents of Allen for being lazy and only complaining about work. Email response:
"We received your email regarding Taco Casa in Allen. I’m sorry that you feel we are not upholding Taco Casa standards and have been doing worse than the previous ownership. The old ownership declared bankruptcy and was not able to run a successful business. If I had not purchased this location, there wouldn’t be a Taco Casa in Allen today. This is an independently owned franchise and I cannot be fired. I have single handedly increased the sales and it’s far from a ghost town. I have very loyal customers who think our customer service and food is great. I admit we aren’t perfect but which location is? You’ll find faults wherever you go and we’re doing the best we can. If you choose not to return to my location, you’re more than welcome not to. Other customers will continue to enjoy our food. This location won’t go into new management anytime soon. Unless you are able to provide constructive feedback which we can use to make our business better and improve service, your feedback doesn’t help anyone. We have been struggling to find employees to work. I don’t blame the pandemic, I blame residents in Allen who want to do nothing but complain and not work" I forgot to add you also have loyal customers who copy paste 5 star reviews with...
Read moreThis is my second time going to this location after the gym. The first time I order the Taco lite. Tonight I order Taco lite and bean burrito. The older Manager was mopping in the area of where the preparation of the food is, he stopped and proceeded to make my food without even washing hands and putting on gloves. I said that is nasty, unsanitary and a violation and you needed to wash your hands and put new gloves on. He yelled and lied to me said it was for him which twa true. I told him I didn’t want him touching my food because that’s the second time that happened. So the young man at the register switch gloves and made my order. When I got home I called back up there and request for the manager name the young man said he was the manger but I said the older man that I need his name because I’m reporting him. Anyway this is awareness because someone could get sick by him not doing his part. Serving customers with dirty gloves smh.
Update 12:24am went to bed and woke up vomiting for over 30min now of what I order 2 hrs ago smh tacos where the only thing I had in my stomach besides a smoothie. I will be reaching out to the store or general manager / corporate office and public health dept. I think the store need to...
